how to use mcp pro test software

Hi, I'm having some issues with my mcp in fs2020 and trying to see if some encoders are faulty. I downloaded the software but it says it's not connected to my MCP (non Pro). Does anyone know how I can get this working?

    It only works with the MCP Pro. If the rotaries are jumpy they need a clean. There is a fairly recent post on here where someone successfully cleaned their rotaries.
