Found my dll.xml file under ....appdata..... I also see there many files like this; dll.xml.GIT0, dll.xml.GIT1........all the way up to dll.xml.GIT9 Is this suppose to be like this? I'm still searching for the answer to my problem. Dave

Hi Steve, You're over my head now. Where's the dll.xml file? Will try again with the two fsx files deleted from registry. The version of GIT I should be installing is GoFlightInterfaceTool_Setup_2_3_0_0.exe, correct? The version of GFConfig is 2_26_5.exe , correct? Dave

Sigh! Well it happened again and this time I can't get GIT to come back. I am getting the same error message again when I start up FSX. "FS has detected a problem with a 3rd party software program" and specified the GoflightInterfacemodule.dll I checked the registry and removed the appropriate line again as per the…

That's all it took. I should take the blame here because I now assume it makes a difference where goflight is installed. I had it where my computer default to in programs(x86). I removed everything as instructed and then installed everything directly under c:\ and now everything is working again. THANKS so much! Dave
-
I see in another thread you refer to a goflight driver 2.26.5. Should I try that one? You mention you had to uninstall the old one to make it work. I have always update goflight dirvers by just installing over top and it has worked. Do I have to do something different? Grasping at anything! Thanks Dave

Hi Steve, Well today when I fired up my sim for the first time, the same error message reappeared: "FS has detected a problem with a 3rd party software program" and specified the GoflightInterfacemodule.dll I followed the same steps again by removing the file from the registry as explained in the FAQ's. Didn't solve the…

Hi Steve, Double checked the regedit and I did delete the right entry. Then did an install of the new commercial version and presto I'm back in business. Triple "A" customer support as usual. Thanks! Dave
-
Thanks for the quick reply Steve. Did as instructed and still get the error on startup and I notice that when I open up GIT I get two greens but simconnect/fsx is yellow. Rebooted as well after regedit but no luck. What can I try next?? Thanks Dave
-
Thanks for the response! So I have the donationware version that I have been using for months and I could have update it without a purchase? Nevertheless, I have purchased the commercial version with a voucher to help out and I can install it over the donationware? I knew about backing up the Goflight Interface Tool folder…

Call me super cautious but just to confirm.... I continue to install this update over top of what I have installed already??? When I open the .zip file there is just an .exe file. Maybe it's just me but always like a little readme, just to let me know what to do. Don't want to lose anything. Got a lot of hours into setting…

Hi Wayne, This thread is using GIT with FSX. Sorry I have no experience with Xplane. Regards Dave
-
Thanks Slayer will look that up and do some more reading. My programming experience comes from school in the 1970's when we had to take the punch cards to the computer room to have the program run by the teacher to see if you got it right!! :-) A love/hate relationship with trying to figure this stuff out but I find it…
-
Hi Slayer, Well you did it! The event works on my P8. Love it! Will spur me on to work on the other 3. I am just a few buttons away from doing a mouse-free preflight and start-up! It still took a little tinkering to make it work and I am sure it was just a typo on your part. I will point it out just in case others are…

Hi Slayer, Before I saw your last post I had spent the time creating what I did and posted it. When I tried your suggestion it does turn on the APU power (GFIT test button) but will not then turn it off. When I took your suggestion and altered my last attempt ( changing "If MJC_VAR_WRITE_VALUE= X Next Else NextSkip" to "if…

Thank you very much for your posts. Unfortunately I still haven't found success so I must be doing something wrong. This is what I came up with base on both of your posts. Is this close???? :on MJC_VAR_READ_VALUE = 53623 If MJC_VAR_WRITE_VALUE= 1 Next Else NextSkip MJC_VAR_WRITE_VALUE = 0 MJC_VAR_WRITE_CODE = 53623 Goto…

Hi Steve, I was wondering if the functionality of the buttons had anything to do with it, however when I try using the P8 or RP48 for things like the RECIRC fan and BLEEDS, one push turns them on and another push turns them off. That having been said I still can't get them to work for the APU buttons.... sigh! Haven't…
-
I find that I only have to click the POWER button once, the self test runs and then I push the start button. The APU starts and the GEN light appears so I can then turn it on and BAIR. I had also tried the separate bespoke for on and off and I couldn't get it to work either. Once again it would turn a button on,…
-
Thanks Slayer! I will try and set up the push button toggle because I am interested in learning how to do it. I tried the APU push buttons with mouse clicks but I had the same issue. The first push of the button would turn each of them on, but when I pushed the button again nothing would shut off. I will also try the mouse…

Wow that does make a difference when taking out the comma's. Thanks Slayer. Have you ever had a look at the APU buttons? I am trying to figure them out. I have 4 push buttons on a P8 set up to turn on the APU power, starter, gen, and bleed air. Have them set up with the variables 1 for on and 0 for off with the appropriate…

Thank robains. Appreciate this. Would love to know how you found the code 96582? Regards Dave
-
Perfect. Was wondering if it was worth the change for me. Thanks again, Dave
-
Hi Slayer, Just being cautious. I assume I can install v2 over top of v1? Will this result in the duplicate entries? I then delete all the duplicate entries one by one? Will I lose the bespokes that I have created on my own? For the radios; are these bespoke events for the radios so we can set them up how we like? Or are…

Great thanks! Just thought I was missing something! I'll keep tinkering. Dave

Still trying to figure this one out. I noticed that when you set up NAV Source the "send XXX with", values change; Send 6 with 536870912 for CCW Send 6 with -2147483648 for CW When I set up the APU buttons all mouse clicks have the same "send xxx with" value to turn them on, ie: Send XXX with 536870912 I also noticed that…

Hi Slayer, Went through a bunch of mouse clicks that I will compare to your list and let you know if I uncovered any new ones. Really thought I should have been able to figure this one out but no luck so I will ask yet another question. I found the mouse clicks for the APU; 163 = APU POWER 164 = APU START 165 = APU…

Hi Slayer, All was successful! TOGA functional. NavSource functional on RP48 knob. Just so I have this straight, if I go through the mouse clicks one by one, using something like your test bespoke name, I should be able to find things like the 4 APU push buttons? If so, do you want me to let you know for your spreadsheet…
-
Wow thanks for all of this Slayer. Will get to work on implementing this and let you know how it goes. I hope the folks at Goflight realize what you / Pollypot are doing for them! Couple thousand dollars of goflight equipment was starting to collect dust before I found this software! THANKS! Dave PS. LNAV works like a…
-
Hi again, Forgot to mention that I have been also trying to figure out the NAV Source knob in the Q400 In the Bespoke events I see the MJC_Nav_Source_FMS1, FMS2, VOR1 and ILS2 but I can not figure out how to assign them to a Rotary knob on my RP48. When I go through detective I see the Lvar : GS_NAV1_KNOB_ANGLE Lvar Data:…
-
Hey Slayer, Thanks for the reply. Just set the LNAV as you instructed so I'm going to do a flight and see how it goes. The MCPPRO is working great for me. The AP is offering everything I need. The button I was working on last night was the TOGA button on the side of #1 Throttle handle. If I could get that to work, my…
-
Yes. I have both EFIS and MCPPRO and works well. Look at the .jpgs for functionality. Some poetic license was required as Slayer was trying to put a square peg through a round hole to get this to work.
