1. Ensure you have configured the settings in the Settings tab and each CDU unit is setup and connected.
  2. Communication between the PMDG aircraft and the Interface is via Simconnect. Therefore if needed, any suitably configured non primary flight simulator PC's can be slaved to run the Interface and the CDU(s).
  3. From the Start menu, select the Engravity CDU PMDG Interface folder and click the appropriate version of the software that matches your flight simulator.
  4. On the Status tab there should be green LED's for each CDU connected. LED "0" is the first CDU device, LED "1" is the second CDU device etc.
If a CDU LED is bright red; check the comm port and baud rates are correct; that no other software is using the com port/connected to the CDU and ensure the CDU device is showing in Windows Device Manager (Use Control Panel, Device Manager and not Windows Settings, Devices).
A CDU shows up in Windows as a Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge which can have its com port and baud rates changed. A CDU unit can have its settings changed by pressing EXEC + S. The Interface software can set the com port and baud rates on the Settings tab. The CDU, related windows device and the Interface software's associated CDU device settings all need to be configured with matching com ports and baud rates.
  5. Start flight simulator. Once started the Simconnect LED should go green on the Status tab. If it doesn't make sure you are running the correct version of the Interface for the flight simulator in use.
  6. Once any supported PMDG aircraft is selected in the flight simulator, the Aircraft LED will go green.
  7. Start the flight.
  8. Once in the VC, if the aircrafts CDU is powered up, the Engravity CDU(s) will power up and update their displays.
  9. You can now use the CDU(s) in the normal way.
  10. If the message "NO INCOMING DATA" is displayed above the Aircraft LED on the Status tab and the CDU screen is not updating, this means no data is being received from the PMDG SDK. See the FAQ to resolve this.
