All critical data is stored in Documents\Virtual Flight Sim Hardware Builder, so its important to take a backup of this directory whenever you have made any changes.
You may also consider backing up C:\ProgramData\Virtual Flight Sim Hardware Builder as this contains all the created image resources. It is not important to back this directory up, but having this directory will minimise the amount of time it takes to perform a full system recovery.
