Has anyone updated their PMDG 737 to see if it still works with goflight? Just wondering..

Comments

  • Yep, still works,
  • The 737-600 don't work for me. On opening GIT it sees the 737-600 and assumes it's the 700. :(
  • same here, still working with the -700 Haven't tried the -600

  • do not have the -700, the -600 is shown at status page, but on MCPPro the digits are all zero, encoders are woring but no indication change an GF MCP, tried the SDK Broadcast entry, but Broadcast entry will be deleted after restart of MSFS. Best regards, Ralf
  • one additional - the right button at status page is not flickering green as for Fenix AC for example, all buttons are green, but the right is dark green, hopefully there is a solution for GFIT for MSFS2020... Best regards Ralf
  • The 737-600 MCP/EFIS does not illuminate any of the "fields." The knobs do change the various dials (as shown on the panel), but they do not show on the MCP/EFIS. I appreciate you looking at the problem--Thanks
  • The problem is resolved by configuring the PMDG 737-600-See the end of the following link:

    https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/622424-does-the-avia737ng-cdu-not-work-for-the-pmdg-737-600/
  • Can people with the 600 confirm its working OK or not.

    Thx
    Steve
  • Hi Steve,
GIT 4.7 is working fine for me in MSFS with the PMDG B736 (EFIS and MCP Pro). But I had to manually add
    [SDK]
    EnableDataBroadcast=1

in the 737_Options.ini file in the B736 Work folder.
I have the MS Store version of MSFS installed on a dedicated drive.

GIT should do that automatically unless the directory has changed. Can you give me the full path to your 737_Options.ini file so I can check GIT has it correct.

    Thx
    Steve
  • Here's the path:
    F:\WpSystem\S-1-5-21-2083512862-3558294711-2696691775-1001\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\packages\pmdg-aircraft-736\work

My F drive is where I have the Community and Official folders installed.

Worth noting that when I installed the B737-600, GIT 4.7 was already installed and working fine with the B737-700. I did not re-install GIT.
  • Thanks for that. This part is different (pmdg-aircraft-736), so GIT needs a small update.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Looks like the 737-800 may need a little tweak too.
  • Yes just a little tweaking.....everything is working except the displays. Either showing nothing in the window or all zero's
  • Yep, just have zeros showing in the MCP pro, however the knobs do change the figures in the a/c. AP and FD switches work but no green lights in the MCP pro.
  • I've asked PMDG for the updated SDK. I can't do anything until I have that.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Thanks Steve. Looking forward to it.
  • According to PMDG in June of this year after they issued an update that did all this, they stated that if a developer reached out to them, they would provide the info they needed to resolve the errors. Now let's hope that is timely. PMDG is not known for being fast. I sure would like to have a fully functional MCP.

Correct, and it all worked until the latest update. PMDG have admitted that some updates will break the SDK as the most recent one has.

  • Just heard back from PMDG with the new SDK. Will work on it tomorrow with hopefully the same day release.

  • New version is now available. Let me know if it works OK as I don't have the 738.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Steve, I don't have the B738 yet, but GIT 4.7.2.0 only sees 1 of my GF166 (I have 3 of them) even though Windows 10 detects all 3. I re-installed GIT 4.7.1.0 and it sees all 3 GF166 again. I thought I would let you know in case others have the same problem.

I am OK with GIT 4.7.1.0 for now, until I decide to buy the B738 ;-)

    Best regards.

New version now up that fixes the issue. Thx for letting me know.

Thank you Steve for such a prompt update. I confirm that GIT 4.7.2.1 sees all my GF166 again. Well done !
  • Hey Steve,
Still have all zeros and no lights on the MPC Pro with latest download.

Thats what I used, but a silly programming error combined the 736 directory to the 738 directory. Now fixed, download as usual.

  • Bingo!
    Works like a charm Sir!
    Thanks Steve.
  • Works perfectly. All lights, digits correspond to the aircraft and sim. Thank You! I couldn't be more grateful to have this one piece of equipment functional again.
