Goflight interface tool MSFS 2020

Good afternoon. I have purchased the G.I.T for MSFS 2020, I have 2 RP48 and 2 GF166 modules, I cannot get them to work with MSFS 2020, I am only getting one green light on G.I.T.
I have downloaded the config software and installed it, do not know what I am doing wrong, please help.
I am not sure if the config software is the correct one and I am not sure if I have installed it in the correct location.
The files have been installed in the goflight folder on C drive.

Could you please send an answer to.

Thank you.
Regards.
Terry.

  • It sounds like the GIT WASM Module has not installed in the correct location. Download from your account the file "GIT FS2020 Module (If Needed).zip"

Unzip the file into your FS2020 Community folder. Include the directory from the file when unzipping. Start GIT and then FS2020.

  • Hi Steve is that all I need to run the Goflight modules.
    Thank you.
  • Hi Steve.
Where is the MSFS community folder please.
  • Good afternoon.
I have downloaded the MSFS GIT in the community folder, started the GIT application then started MSFS but still have only one green light, and cannot use any tabs on the GIT.
    Can you please help.
    regards.
    Terry.
  • There is loads of info and videos on locating your FS2020 community folder. Just google for "finding fs2020 community folder"

You have either not installed the WASM module into the community folder or not included the folder when you unzipped. It must be installed as per this example image:

  • What WASM.
I have found the community folder but not sure if I am installing the correct software, I have none of these files stated above so have might have downloaded the wrong files.
Very confusing as where to get the software and where to install it.
Please help send a link where to get the software.

    Thank you.

  • This is what is in my community folder.
    GIT.docx 117.1K
  • From your attachment it appears that you have installed GIT into the community folder which is the wrong thing to do. You have also copied the setup program into the community folder which again should not be there.

Uninstall GIT and delete the GoFlight directory and the setup file from the community folder.

Install GIT into Program Files\GoFlight. After this check if the directory "pollypotsoftware-flightsimio-module" exists in the community folder. If it doesn't, download from your account the file "GIT FS2020 Module (If Needed).zip" and unzip the contents of this file into the community folder which should not contain the directory "pollypotsoftware-flightsimio-module".

See this for further information: https://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/user-guide/user-guide-git/16-installation/263-installation-fs2020.html

  • For the life of me I cannot find the GIT FS2020 Module, I have tried to download GIT and I have the Goflight file but got an error message saying I have to put the pollypotsoftware-flightsimio-module in manually.
    Really cannot find it.
please can you send a direct link.
  • Hi all, where can I get the latest version of GIT, also when I run GIT I get one yellow light what does this mean please. When I run the config for my modules RP48 GF46 and GF166 they appear on the config screen but only 2 light up but none work when I run MSFS 2020, any ideas please.
    Thank you.
  • The latest version is always in your account. Just download in the usual way.

Have you configured your RP48 to do anything. Have you pressed any default config buttons on the GIT GF166 tab to configure it etc. Without any configuration work they will appear dead.

  • Hi Steve not sure what actions to assign to the RP 48 for example when flying the Cessna in FSX with the old GF software my RP48 buttons were assigned to the following button 1 XPDR 2 SYM WPT 3 ENG ALL FADEC 4 AP ALT HOLD 5ADF INDENT 6 SYS BATTERY 7 XPDR INDENT 8 NAV 1 INDENT. The 4 knobs assigned to AP HEADING ADJ - ALTIMETER - OBS 1 - OBS 2.
On the RP48 drop down box in GIT I cannot find any of these, do you know the equivalent assignments in GIT please or the best assignments for Cessna with GIT RP48, Thank you.
  • The following lists all FS2020 Events and are grouped into helpful sections: https://docs.flightsimulator.com/html/Programming_Tools/Event_IDs/Event_IDs.htm

  • Hi Steve, ok fine but I cannot find these in the drop down boxes.
    WAYPOINT POSITION.

FADEC FULL AUTH DIGITAL ENGINE CONTROL.

    ALT HOLD MODE.

    ADF AUTOMATIC DIRECTION FINDER.

    SYS BATTERY- SOLID STATE BATTERIES.

    XPDR INDENT-TRANSPONER INDENT.

    VOR INDENT FOR NAV 1.

Could you please help of let me know the equivalent commands for these buttons on the RP-48, or some commands that will be useful for flying the cessna.

I am new to FS and instruments.

    Thank you.
  • The things you have listed are made up by GoFlight. GoFlight will have mapped these to actual SimConnect events and variables. Just search for keywords like Hold, ADF, NAV etc and you will find the suitable events and variables to use.

    Best wishes
