Application Halted with GIT 4.7.3.0

Hi Steve,

After installing GIT 4.7.3.0 and the new WASM modules (2023-01-12) in MSFS2020, I have an "Application Halted" error when I start GIT. I reverted to GIT 4.7.2.2 while keeping the new WASM module and everything is working fine. Here's a screenshot of the error window I get with GIT 4.7.3.0. Can you help ?

  • Delete C:\Users\\AppData\Local\PollyPot_Software

This will not delete your configs only settings from the settings tab.

    Best wishes

  • Well ... it didn't work. After deleting C:\Users\\AppData\Local\PollyPot_Software, I have the same error message when starting GIT 4.7.3.0. Any other ideas ?
  • For some reason my post took out "your username". It should have read: C:\Users\your username\AppData\Local\PollyPot_Software

Yes, I noticed that but I am familiar enough with Windows to have deleted C:\Users\MY USER NAME\AppData\Local\PollyPot_Software
  • The only other thing to try is renaming Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool to something else, so GIT starts clean, but you will lose your configs if you don't have a backup.

If I do that, and after restarting GIT clean close it and copy back the LUA folder, as well as all the XML files in the Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool folder, this might work and bring back my configs ?

UPDATE: I deleted Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool and got the same error when starting GIT clean.
  • Just realised GIT cannot find SimConnect.dll on your PC. Is it located in Program Files\GoFlight? Have you updated MSFS to the latest version?
  • Yes simConnect.dll is in Program Files\GoFlight and dated 29/11/2022
MSFS is up to date as yesterday (installed in F:\MS Flight Simulator)
  • That's strange. Try unzipping the attached into your GoFlight directory.
  • That file was not in my Goflight folder, so I added it and GIT 4730 started. I'll start MSFS to see if my goflight modules are working ... standby.
  • You shouldn't need that file, so its indicating a problem with your MSFS SimConnect installation.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • TADAM !!!
Everything is now working fine with GIT 4730. THANK YOU Steve !

Should the file Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect.dll have been installed when updating to GIT 4730 ?
  • No. You shouldn't need that file, so its indicating a problem with your MSFS SimConnect installation.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Copy that. I'll leave it alone since it now works and later check my MSFS installation (even though MSFS has been installed there since august 2020)

Have a nice weekend and thanks again.
