GIT P3Dv4v5 64Bit Windows11
Hello,
I am running P3d V4.5 under windows11. I reinstalled my pc after using windows10 now with windows11and reinstall P3D, GoFlight Driver, the pollypot Engravity CDU interfaces and PMDG aircraft and this works again so far.
I am not able to get GIt working.
When I try to start GIT before starting P3d it freezes.
When I start GIT with P3D already running it starts, shows Simconnect green but the other two buttons stay grey. I read all the pollypot ducumentation on this issue but I am not able to bring things (GIT) to life.
How to install and setup GIT P3dv4v5 64bit to work with windows11.
regards
Georg

thx for your post but I already did so and tried the 32bit GIT - same result

sounds good now! In the attached link you can find some screenshots showing what's happening or not in my installation.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lOWTR1PZlSmpXYKL_KyPeq045E_RyEKE/view?usp=share_link
If I try to start GIT64bit before starting P3dv4.5 it just pops up and freezes immediately.
If I start GIT64bit with P3D 64bit running it comes up; STATUR, SETTING and LOG is accessible. The funny things is it brings up an empty white window with P3D.
SimConnect seem to work, the PMDG aircraf is recognized but LED stays red/grey blinking and GF modules are not recognized.
Maybe it helps.

THX for helping that quick. The new version installer ends with an error.
A part of path "C:\Users\Georg\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\dll.xml" cannot be found.
which is correct because I am using P3d v4.5 and so my path is
"C:\Users\Georg\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\dll.xml".
What to do:
creating the missing folder for P3D v5 and then copy dll.xml to my directory of version P3D v4 or is it necessary to have a special installer version for P3D v4?
regards Georg
By the way, if you downloaded the 32bit version, redownload it as it had the wrong filename and was therefore still the old version.

THX for the information on the 32bit version but I am using the 64bit version. I already saw that the same dll.xml is already contained in my P3D v$ directory. BUUUT ... my errors are the same and it still looks and behaves like shown in the screenshots.
Should I try the 32bit version?

PS: Check the GoFlight Interface Module 64.dll (located in Program Files\GoFlight) is version 3.7. Thats the really important part for Win 11 compatibility.
so my GoFlight directory is
I now installes the 32bit version, which I downloaded 3 minutes ago and when starting up the first time it says "A newer version exists" and pressing OK closes everything.

I installed the 32bit version but in the installation directory I do have a GITModule64.dll. This 64 dll is version 3.7.0.0.

I guess I will finish for today. Many thx so far. Could you please refill my download counts for GIT and my Engravity CDU Interface, which works pretty fine in windows11.

I deinstalled 32bit version again and redownloaded and reinstalled. 32bit version starts now without informing about a new version and the rest is the same as I wrote together with my screenshots,
Without P3dv4.5 running 32bit verison starts and freezes
With P3D v4.5 32bit version comes up opens the white P3D window, Simmconnect turns to green and so on as already told ...
Checked the versions, checked the module - everything fine.
THE SAME ERROR MESSAGE IN THE LOG (GOFLIGHT WORKER THREAD FAILED ERROR)
regards
Georg
Any additional idea to the GoFlight Worker Thread error?

Check C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3d v4\dll.xml has only 1 entry similar to the following:
GoFlight Interface Module
False
C:\Program Files (x86)\GoFlight\GoFlight Interface Module 64.dll
Ensure that the listed "Path" above points to the GoFlight Interface Module 64.dll that is version 3.7.
Check you have GFDev.dll (or GFDev64.dll for GIT 64Bit) in the same directory as GIT and the module.
Start GIT without P3D running and confirm the GIT GoFlight Led is green and GIT is stable.
Remember, whenever you install GIT, Lua Config.txt gets overwritten with default settings, so you either need to modify the file and change localhost as previously discussed or use the backup version in Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool but check it has the correct IP address in it as multiple installs will end up backing up the default settings file.
Confirm you are using either GIT P3Dv4v5 64Bit.zip or GIT P3Dv4v5.zip from your account.
Best wishes

dll is in the correct directory and has the requested entry
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ensure that the listed "Path" above points to the GoFlight Interface Module 64.dll that is version 3.7.
The Module 64.dll is version 3.7.0.0
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Check you have GFDev.dll (or GFDev64.dll for GIT 64Bit) in the same directory as GIT and the module.
Since our last late night session I have the 32bit version of GIT installed and GFDev.dll is in the requested directory
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Start GIT without P3D running and confirm the GIT GoFlight Led is green and GIT is stable.
NO; NO, NO the GoFlight LED never turned and turns to GREEN it alwas stays RED. Without P3D running the GIT window comes up and is frozen immediately. I cannot access anything. Even the window itself cannot be moved. As soon as I enter the frozen GIT window with my mouse pointer the pointer chnages from an arrow to a round running circle like windows shows up when busy.
When I start GIT with P3D running GIT starts up the windows can be moved, the tabs STATUS SETTINGS and LOG are accessible, all the rest is grey. GoFlight LED is RED, Sim Connect LED turns to GREEN, aircraft LED blinks RED / GREY and under MODEL the corrct name of the PMDG aircraft is shown.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Remember, whenever you install GIT, Lua Config.txt gets overwritten with default settings, so you either need to modify the file and change localhost as previously discussed or use the backup version in Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool but check it has the correct IP address in it as multiple installs will end up backing up the default settings file.
I cannot find a file Lua Config.txt. In the directory where GIT resides I only finf GIT.LUA. Is this the file you are talking about. In GIT LUA localhost and port 8385 are listed. Instead of localhost I tried the nma of the computer, which is CA-Simulator or it's IP adress, which is 192.168.16.11 and I created firewall rules for port 8385. At the end I switched of the firewall. This all did not change anything.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Confirm you are using either GIT P3Dv4v5 64Bit.zip or GIT P3Dv4v5.zip from your account.
YES I downloaded both files from my account and actual using GIT P3Dv4v5.zip.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For sure I am also using your Engravity CDU interface on the same computer for my PMDG aircraft, which works perfect!

Georg
The issue is with GFDev.dll. Are you sure you have it in C:\Program Files (x86)\GoFlight and not in C:\Program Files\GoFlight?
hostname: localhost
port: 27015
portms2020: 27016
path:
luatimeout: 500
luahookcount: 3
path: default
and then changed to
path:
Now I am definitly out of ideas! I deinstalled GFConfig and GIT and reinstalled it at C:\Program Files (X86). The only thing, which changed; when starting GIT without P3D running the GoFlight LED now stays GREY does not turn to RED. It still freezes immeditely after GIT window popping up.
