LGT2 and Landing Gear

Landing gear works fine going down. Going up, the gear goes up fine and I get the red unsafe lights during transition. However, once the gear is up the lights turn green instead of turning off. How can that be fixed.
Thanks,
Alex

  • What sim/aircraft are you using. Did you configure the LGT yourself or us FS Default?

  • Thanks Steve,
The airplane is a DC-3 which, as you know, is a tail dragger so no nose wheel. I want the center light out all the time. The two main lights I wanted red during transition going up and going down, gear up no lights, gear down main lights green. I finally figured it out. In case this helps anyone else out:

For the nose gear, Input Event = sim/flight_controls/landing_gear_up, Gear Lights = sim/aircraft/parts/acf_gear_deploy[0], Gear up Value = 1.
For Left and Right Gear, Input Event = sim/flight_controls/landing_gear_up (or down), Gear Lights = sim/aircraft/parts/acf_gear_deploy[1], and Gear Up Value = 0.

This seems to work. But I still have questions. There are about ten or more "sim/aircraft/parts/acf_gear_deploy[x]" choices. Is there any way to know what each one does? I had to use trial and error but I wonder if there is any documentation that tells what is in these functions. There are a number of other functions which have a number at the end but no way to tell what they do...or is there?
    Thanks,
    Alex
  • I think those are to do with the actual aircraft model and can be ignored. See https://developer.x-plane.com/datarefs/
