CDU CLR button not working as it should?

I did search the forum for this issue but couldn't find any topic on this subject.
Situation:
If I want to clear one character from the CDU-scratchpad (due to typing mistake) the whole line dissipaters after pressing CLR button once. I would expect, as in the simulator's CDU, that one press on CLR button should delete only one character.
Did I left-out some configuration setting or is this behaviour "by-design"?
Please note that many of my flying friends who own Engravity 737 CDU have the same problem.

Just looked over the code and can't find anything wrong. It does nothing special with CLR, it just sends it to the PMDG SDK and then updates the screen including the data entry line based on what the PMDG SDK says its looks like.
I will have to write some more code to work around this issue in the SDK, but that won't happen until late next year at the earliest. I have put it on my to-do.

I recognise Mladen's issue.
Maybe some info that might help you to zoom in on the cause of the (admittedly: small) problem. Whenever I press CLR to remove the last character in the scratchpad, it works OK. Then, after 1-2 seconds, the other characters disappear simultaneously. So there is a lag between functionality 'as planned' and 'surprise extra' :-)
