Export PMDG ACFT configurations

Hi Steve!

I want to have different configs for the PMDG B737-600-700-800 and the PMDG B737-900. So I read your manual explaining the way to create a ZIP file. This way is based on DETECTIVE function, which is not available with the PMDGs.
After some time of searching I found an XML file with the Aircraft Short Name I used and reading this file I guess I found my config.
To multiply this config is it OK to copy my config, rename the file and change the Aircraft Short Name in the XML header?

regards

Georg

  • Yes that is fine. Take a backup first in case you make any errors. GIT reads the aircraft name to determine the config to load. If you change the short name to be more specific for each version of the PMDG aircraft, you can get/build different configs for each variation that will load automatically.

    Best wishes

  • THX again Steve ! :)
I had lot of problems installing and beginning to use GIT but in the meantime I realized great configs for my PMDGs and also great "LUAs"! I LIKE GIT64 ! ! !

    regards
