[SDK] EnableDataBroadcast=1

I know PMDG have added the "EnableDataBroadcast=1" into all their Boeings software, meaning we don't have to add it into the Option.ini file anymore (it no longer exists) but it's not working for me. Although my MCP does control the Boeing 777 in the cockpit, my Go-Flight MCP remains just showing zero's i.e. it's getting no feedback with the DataBroadcast. Can it be fixed? or is it a problem with PMDG software?

  • In the GIT log are you seeing a PMDG Options OK entry? Have you checked you are running version 4.8 of GIT?

    From the PMDG 777 SDK manual (GIT should do this for you, but double check it):

    To enable the data communication output, you will need to open the file
    777_Options.ini that is located in the 777 persistent storage folder.
    For Microsoft Store distribution, this folder is located at
    %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\Lo
    calState\packages\pmdg-aircraft-77w\work\.
    For Steam distribution, this folder is located at
    %APPDATA%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\pmdg-aircraft77w\work\.
    Once this folder is open, add the following lines as required to the bottom of
    the file:
    [SDK]
    EnableDataBroadcast=1

    Best wishes

  • No reference to PMDG Options OK in the GIT Log. Definately running 4.8. I do not have any Options.ini files in any of the PMDG airplanes. I read somewhere that the [SDK]
    EnableDataBroadcast=1 is included in all new downloads of all airplanes from PMDG it is now within the software of each aircraft if this is incorrect why can't I find Options.ini?
  • You are looking for 777_Options.ini and not Options.ini? According to the PMDG SDK manual EnableDataBroadcast=1 has to be added, without it GIT will never work. Is GIT showing PMDG in the aircraft tab and not GENERIC when the 777 is loaded?

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • I'll say it again there is no 777_Options,ini file to drop the [SDK]
    EnableDataBroadcast=1 into. see attached pic

    In my P3DV4 installation, the file, "777X_Options.ini" (approx 3KB), is located in the installed PMDG Directory for the 777....
    \Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\PMDG\PMDG 777X\.

    It's not the same in MSFS. I discovered it's not called an ini file anymore it's 737_Options no .ini and it a configuration file

    Didn't realize you have MSFS. I do not have MSFS. Anyway, not sure what this means: "it's not called an ini file anymore it's 737_Options no .ini and it a configuration file" .
