GoFlight Interface Tool and sim support

Hello.

Hoping to get some answers regarding the GoFlight Interface Tool and what it supports.

I am helping someone migrate to a Windows 11 computer from Windows 7 and nothing I've done will get the GoFlight modules to work. I am considering this GoFlight Interface Tool. But, the sims this person uses are FS9 and FSX. I see a lot of talk about this product and FSX, but nothing for FS9. Most of the time spent in the sims is with FS9 and I'm wondering what kind of support this tool provides for that sim. Trying to determine if this tool will actually help this situation.

Thank you!

  • For FS9 you need the GoFlight drivers which are available in the downloads section of our website. These also provide basic FSX support.

If you cannot get the displays and LED's to work, then the readme file in the GoFlight drivers installation directory details how to resolve that issue.

The GoFlight Interface Tool does not support FS9 and is primarily for use with advanced aircraft and adding support for FS2020.

    Best wishes

  • I have read that documentation, as well as about 40 hours worth of other documentation, and am nowhere. The original GoFlight drivers do nothing for Windows 11. Based on all of the posts out there about these issues, I'm a little surprised at that response.

Some say they have success while others with the exact same setups still have trouble. I'm at a complete loss of where to go or what to try next. It doesn't seem like it should be that difficult to get updated drivers for a newer OS to talk to something that does nothing but turn something on/off.

I apologize for being a bit blunt, but I've been working on this for weeks and have made zero progress.
