MCP PRO

Hi again,

I have now been able to register the GIT, when I start it I get all three green lights but still the GF MCP PRO will not work or light up.
I have tried everything I ca. Re-installed checked all folders etc. I am really frustrated.

Any advice/help would be appreciated.
Regards

Konrad

  • Sorry for the late reply, I've been away. When did it stop working i.e. what changed on your system? Can you post the GIT log tab. Also it the MCP Pro detected in GIT.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Sorry Steve just seen your response. I have copied the GIT Log and the MCPPRO shows in the GIT with all greens on , the aircraft green flashes.

  • When did it stop working i.e. what changed on your system? Also is the MCP Pro detected in GIT? Does the MCP Pro light up during your PC start up? Do the controls work, but the LED's and displays don't? Have you tried other aircraft to see if it works?
  • Hi,
It stopped about two weeks ago. Not sure what changed on PC. The MCP PRO shows in GIT. The MCP pro does not light up when PC is started. I have tried other aircraft also. The EFIS works fine, I swapped connections and the EFIS still worked but nothing on the MCP PRO. If I disconnect the MCP Pro and then re-connect the main LEDS I.E. Altitude speed etc. light up for a few seconds.

@konjan , do you have the original GoFlight software that allows you to arrange the various components? If so, does it recognise the MCP Pro?

How is it connected to your computer? Direct into a USB port or into a USB powered hub compatible with USB2?

I have 6 GF units plus the MCP Pro and EFIS units. All plug into a powered hub which is connected to an expansion port connected to a USB2 header on my mobo. Everything works perfectly.

  • Hi,
Is the original GF software the GFconfig? I tried that but it does not recognise MFS220.

I don't have anything else as far as i am aware.

It has always been plugged into a powered hub compatible with USB 2

  • @konjan yes, it should be able to recognise hardware without pointing to the sim you’re using.

And is that hub connected to a USB2 port on your computer? Or a USB3 with backward compatibility.
    Cheers,
    Ray (Cheshire, England)
  • The USB Hub is connected to A USB2 on the main computer, I have the GFconfig in the GoFlight folder.

When I open the GFconfig it shows the MCP Pro and the EfIS but it can't locate MFS 2020 or 2024.

Could it be the MCP PRO unit itself, if so can it be repaired?

    Regards

    Konrad

  • Konrad, if GF Config is seeing the MCP Pro and EFIS they’re okay. I can’t help with MSFS as I don’t have it. Hopefully Steve can assist.

When you click on the MCP Pro in GFConfig, does it light up?
  • Sorry, been away.
No it does not light up...I have re-installed windows hoping it will solve the problem, I am now re-installing every thing.
I have tried MCP pro again but will not accept the code. Could I get a reset on the GFT code please.

  • Hi,
Finally got the GF MCP Pro working. I thought something was topping it working so I re-installed windows, MFS2020, the GIT and config. This seems to have solved the problem (Whatever it was)
    Thanks for all the advice.

    Regards

    Konrad
  • @konjan well done for fixing it.
    Cheers,
