MSFS2024 loading errors destroy GIT events
Hi,
I had the situation that MSFS2024 started with errors. Then I ended FS2024 by clicking OK everytime it asked for. Then I shutted down the PC. Hours later I started MSFS2024 successfully BUT all my GIT events for the Blacksquare Turbine Duke are deleted. I tried all the other aircraft with my selfcreated GIT events and all of them work. The only aircraft not working any longer is the aircraft which has been in use when MSFS2024 failed to start. Yesterday I had the same situation with the same results. I checked some files and I found out, that all my events starting with B60T-xxxxx do notexist any longer. The rest isOK. How can I get my events back? I generated ~40 B60T definitions. Also inthe XML files all entries for B60T are deleted, while the C210, F33, C182, C414 entries, they all still exist.

If no backups exist/work, and you have a Windows restore point from before the error occurred, you could roll back to the restore point and see if the files are also restored.
I would need to seen the error log when this first happened so I could diagnose why it occurred in the first place.

thx for your quick response. YES, the backups in the meantime reflect the damaged situation. Regarding the backups, are they made automatically or can I schedule them? Where can I find the LOG-file and how can I send it?

When I backup GIT I simply copy Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool to a separate location.
The log is in the Log tab but you can add /log to the GIT icon properties to generate a file in Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool. I only need the log if and when you have the clean files and the error occurs again - it will not help me if used with broken files.

I thought I could save sme time by editing GIT XML-Files, which are very easy structured. I did it on backup files and found out, that I destroyed the files.
Could this be an issue of coding? I am using notepad++ in it's default settings, which is UTF-8 or are there some special rules I have to observe when editing the files?

You only need to be missing one character or a section ending/start in XML and the file is corrupt.
In notepad++ you can click the Language menu and choose XML which should help you spot mistakes.
The editor called Code Writer will show up any errors in your XML.
I would do a a little at a time and then test and if OK, backup and do a bit more so you don't loose much.

WOW THX! What a great recommendation. I installed the XML plugin into my Notepad++ and now I can see everything what I have been looking for ! ! !
Also congratulation to GIT ! ! ! I like this tool and its flexibility! I now programmed an engine startup sequence for the Blacksquare Turbine Duke to the GoFlight SECM module; it just feels great !
