T8 Switch and Doors & TQ6 Axis main event not found
Hello dear community,
Im having a small issues with my setup.
1. I have assigned T8 switches for PMDG 777 doors and they do work, however, if for example I load certain panel scenario and some of the doors are already open, my switches are not in sync with the current door status. If i then flip a switch as door open, it will close that door. So how can I make the switch to "see" the current scenario? For example, the external light switches works perfectly, it will understand that if taxi light is on, and i flip the switch to on as well, it does not shut down the taxi light, so i can sync my switches to the real situation. So how can i make this work with the doors?
2. I have tried to assign my TQ6 axis via the interface, however, if I follow the step by step guide to make the axis work, I end up having problems already in step two, when I need to choose the main event from the drop down list, the list is empty? Im sure im doing something wrong, just could not yet figure out what it is.
Previously I have assigned my axis via fsuipc.
Any advice would be highly appreciated
Cheerio

Hi Thomas,
GIT does check the state of the goflight hardware in relation to the assigned variables and sends the configured ON or OFF events. If the doors aren't syncing, you might need to try a different event action or use CUSTOM event action and send a 1 or 0.
In relation to the TQ6, the combo boxes sometimes appear blank if the GIT window is over the top of the flight sim window. Try minimising your flight sim and try again.
Best wishes

I have to say im impressed by the way you support people here. Truly amazing to receive fast reply on a Sunday evening. I hope people appreciates your efforts and will donate!
Thanks for the tip, I will try a different approach

Hi Thomas,
Does using ONOFF as the Switch action not work? If it doesn't, I'll need to check the code.
Best wishes

Hi Thomas,
Use a light action of ONOFF_REVERSED to inverse the Goflight switches. I don't know what you mean about the doors - if the light is working then GIT is seeing the status of the door.
Best wishes

Thanks for the support, I think I was not able to describe my problem the right way. I will try once more:)
So, lets say I fire up the sim, all my door switches are in the up position, which for my setup would mean the doors are closed. When I fire up the sim, lets say two cargo doors are open and the left front door. The lights work OK, meaning that it detects that the doors are open. So far so good. If I then turn the switch down, which would be the correct position for the door open, it closes the door.
I would like it to work like it works for the outside lights (taxi, probe etc) that when I flip the switch, it "sees" the status of switch - if the switch is up and the door is open, when pulling the switch to down, it would not close the door, as the switch down position means the door is open.
Now it just open and close the door, regardless the switch position..
And as I said, it works for the lights. Meaning that when I fire up the sim, the position light is always on. Now even my T8 would be in a position that would mean the light is off, when I then pull the switch to ON, it does not change the light switch in the sim, as it is on and now the T8 is in sync with the sim.
Sorry if Im not able to provide you a better view of the situation...
Thanks

Hi Seme,
Using a Switch Action of NOTHING will correctly sync the doors, but the switch will be "up" for Open. I'll need to add a REVERSED Switch Action to get GIT to work as you want with the doors.
Best wishes
