Partial screen informations

Hello, everyone.

Got here a small issues. I have  the old flyengravity cdu version 1.05. Just got the drivers for the pmdg. It works, but if I push the letters buttons to my cdu, I can see them to fsx pmdg cdu but not on my cdu, So I can go through pages in my cdu, but I cannot see everything on mine :(

Any help?

  • Hi,

Can you check you have the very latest version of the NGX installed (version 1.10.6461).

Can you also try increasing the Display Delay Time and tick Never Disconnect CDU.

If none of that works, can you take a photograph for me to look at.

    Thanks

    Steve

  • Hello and thank you for the reply.

The nsx version in the latest

I've increased up to 200 and I ticked never disconnect cdu, but nothing.

I have some problem to upload a picture. I sent an email if is ok for you

  • Thanks for picture. What CPU/Speed are you using and what flight sim are you using?

    Best wishes

    Steve

  • FSX, what do you mean by CPU/speed?
  • What processer and speed e.g. Intel i5 and 3.2Ghz.

    Can you try:

Setting the Display Delay Time to its lowest value

Change the Standard Text Style to Std

Double check all the baud rates settings match as per the manual.

    Thx

    Steve

  • i7 2860QM @ 2.50Ghz
  • Nothing :(  BaudRate is set 38400 as per manual
  • Do you have 38400 set in your CDU (press EXEC+S together)?

    Best wishes

    Steve

  • yes is the same
  • OK. Leave it with me; I'll need to try and recreate the issue or add some code to help track down the problem.

Whilst I'm doing this (it will take a couple of days or so), double check you have set everything as detailed in the manual and try the things I have asked you to change again. Also make sure you have Windows Update up-to-date.

Could you also copy and paste the log from the Log tab after the screen has been updated a few times.

  • Just to make sure....I have fsx, the latest version of pmdg 737, and driver bought from you. Is this the only think I need?
  • Yes that's all you need. Its a very strange problem but give me a little time to track down what is causing it.

  • I sent 2 pics, with log and settings
  • The problem only exists with version 1.0.2.0. I'm withdrawing this version until I find a fix. If you uninstall the version you have and re-download the software it will be version 1.0.1.0 which works correctly.

  • Indeed, problem solved!! thank you.

I noticed it's a bit slow in responding or change pages, do you think is my pc problem?

  • edited December 2015
The CDU update is not very fast because the physical CDU is serial port based. Make sure you are running at 38400 baud.

You can also try a lower setting for Display Delay Time, although this may have the side effect of the screen updates being delivered in waves.

Apart from that, a faster PC or over clocked CPU may help if the delay is caused by the speed at which the data is sent to the interface from PMDG/Simconnect.

    Best wishes
