FSX/FSX SE registry AppPath entry not found, PMDG options file cannot be checked/updated

Hello,

I receive the above error message whenever I try to open the GoFlight Interface Tool. I didn't receive this error before I installed windows 10 so I'm guessing it has something to do with the latest windows?

The result is that some of the GoFlight buttons works while others do not. Also for some strange reason FSUIPC no longer recognizes any of the Goflight panels but it does see the Throttle quadrant.

Any idea what is going on here? I can program some buttons to work thru the Interface tool, for example Parking Brake and view mode but can not get the PMDG specific events to work.

Regards,

Jim

  • Actually that's not entirely true, I can get the rotary knobs on the RP48 to function but not the buttons.

  • Also the MCP works properly just not the button modules.

  • Hi Jim,

Sounds like a Win 10 config issue.

Try the things discussed in the thread "Official Windows 10 support?" over at http://support.goflightinc.com/

    Best wishes

  • i'll give it a try, I reinstalled the GF drivers and now have the FSUIPC assignments working but still not nothing thru the Interface tool.

Also, how do you delete a button assignment in the interace tool.?

    Jim

  • Have you trying uninstalling and reinstalling GIT?

If PMDG NGX/77X set the Button Event to BLANK, for other aircraft use _NO_EVENT.

    Best wishes

  • I have tried to reinstall but no difference, it doesn't seem to retain the assignments, even when I assign "BLANK" as you state above the previous command is still there.

  • Just to test; try renaming the My Document\Goflight Interface Tool directory so GIT starts with no config files.

  • Bingo! That did the trick.. must have been a corrupt file.

    Thank you Steve

  • I receive the same error when I launch the GIT "FSX/FSX SE registry AppPath entry not found, PMDG options file cannot be checked/updated". All had been working fine. I decided to move to Win10 and do a clean install so I could rid myself of FSX and P3D 2.5. I'm running P3D v3, the goflight software version is 2.26.1 and my GIT version is 2.1.18.

I read this thread and attempted to rename the folder in Docs as suggested. The interesting thing is there is nothing in that folder. But I did rename it, but I still get the same error and of course, my GFMCP Pro isn't working in the PMDG 737.

    What should I try next?

  • Hi Jerry,

This message is just a warning. If you are running the P3D version of GIT simply untick Enable for FSX on the Settings tab and click Save.

The old drivers will not stop this message.

    Best wishes

  • Hi Steve, Thanks for the fast response. The problem is I can't get to the settings tab. The GIT tool appears to be frozen and I can't click on the settings tab. I can't even close the app. I have to end it via task manager.
  • Thank you Steve. That resolved the issue. Any idea what is wrong with the 2.26.1 version?
