Any known limitations with SendKey On a networked PC?

HI,

I am running GIT on a secondary PC, connected to my main PC running P3D.

I have been able to successfully configure and use my GoFlight modules with the default functions/aircraft in P3D v3 in this configuration.
IE
GF module connected via USB to remote PC
Remote PC running GIT
Remote PC connected to main PC via SimConnect
Main PC running P3D v3

I have the A2A C172, and Im beginning to configure for this aircraft.
Via the Detective, Ive been able to configure and get working the Battery Switch.
The Alternator switch, however doesnt seem to have an Event or LVar associated.

So, instead I set up a HotKey combo in the A2A 172 (Left Cntrl plus ]  for on) and tested this on the Main PC running P3D.
However, on the remote PC, when I set up a Bespoke event, using SendKey or SendKey* with Left Cntrl plus ] , and click the test button, the A2A C172 does not seem to receive/detect this.

Is there a limitation where SendKey or SendKey* wont work via SimConnect from a  remote PC?

  • Hi David,

It will not work across a networked PC as the SendKey command attempts to inject the key press into the flight simulator process. Unlike everything which uses simconnect.

Have you tried using the TOGGLE_MASTER_ALTERNATOR event.

    Best wishes

    Steve
