OOM Error running GFIT
When I run the GFIT I get an Out of Memory error when I run P3D v3. This occurs even without opening an aircraft or scenario, but with just the opening splash screen showing and having never flown during the session. If I do not run GFIT I do not get the issue.
Suggestions?

That's a new one. There are issues with GIT and the latest Goflight drivers so I would use these and try again:

Make sure GIT and drivers are installed into the same directory.

Use the old drivers. The new ones have problems on some peoples machines with Prepar3D.You may want to install the drivers and GIT into a directory outside of Program Files (x86) because security issues have also caused problems with GIT.
No-one else has reported an OOM error, so its something odd with your setup. Try the above and let me know.
Thanks
Steve
luckily I have not such OOMs at start of P3Dv3.1. But I'm not sure from where my OOM's after longer flights come. I'm using P3D settings from Rob Ainscough http://www.robainscough.com/Prepar3D_V3.html and after longer flights I'm getting OOM's. Rob does not have this problem with OOMs. Also I use FS Commander which is connected to P3D. I don't know if this also can induce an OOM?
I'm only a little confused because the download link at the Goflight support site say's 2.26.1 and after install there is a different version. Then I saw this posting to run the older version. Do you think it is better to deinstall the actual version of GF-Config and GIT and install it to another directory outside of C: Program Files? If I deinstall and install at another path, will I loose my settings or will they stay at User\Documents?

Martin
Hi Martin,
Prepar3D only has 4Mb to play with. Everything you add or use will eat into that 4Mb. Most of GIT runs outside of Prepar3D. The only part that runs inside is the module which is very small and uses very little memory. If GIT was a memory hog or had a memory leak I would have everyone complaining.
I understand FSUIPC has some features that help with memory management which might be worth exploring.
The version is correct on the 2.26.1 build. I think only one or two programs were altered and only their version numbers would have changed. If 2.26.1 is not causing GIT to lock up then use that version.
Best wishes
