GF-166 and GF-P8
Hello,
I have an simconnect error (yellow light) when trying to set a button event on a GF-P8 :
I set a GF-P8 button to the following event : GF166_CONTROL_TOGGLE1_2 to be able to swap between NAV1 and NAV2 on the GF-166. Then, when i push the button nothing happens and a yellow light comes on on GIT and in the log i have the following message :
Simconnect: exception received: error.
Same thing happen when setting this event on a GF-RP48 button to control the GF-166
Thanks for your Help,
Alekcei

Hi Alek,
That event was written to support the button press from the GF166 device itself. I will have to check the code to see if it will work from other devices. I suspect it won't because how will GIT know which GF166 device you are referring too.
Best wishes
Steve
Thanks for your reply, effectively, this event works well with the gf166 itself, i was wondering if it can works on the P8 to control function switch(nav/com) on only one Gf166. I have just 1 gf166.
Thank you,
Alek
Hi Alex,
I have checked the code and unfortunately it uses the device sending the event to determine which GF166 needs toggling.
Best wishes
Steve
