Import failure of Bespoke events on X-plane version

I'm having problems importing bespoke events 2 events are throwing these errors but I'm not sure why.

here are the errors:

imageimage

here is a code snippet of what is in the .xml file .

     <Event
        Name="T7_EFIS_BRG1_Switch"
        ID="24"
        Backgnd="False">
        <Task
          ID="4"
          Type="Set"
          Var="anim/31/button"
          Data="0" />
      </Event>
      <Event
        Name="T7_EFIS_BRG2_Switch"
        ID="25"
        Backgnd="False">
        <Task
          ID="5"
          Type="Set"
          Var="anim/32/button"
          Data="0" />
      </Event>

I'm just using those as placeholders so I know what anim I need to work with later as I was working through the list of datarefs. Not sure why setting a dataref to 0 would cause import errors?

  • Hi Steve,

    I've just tried to replicate the problem (assuming its the FlightFactor T7) and it worked OK.)

    Can you send me your exported files to try?

    Thx

    Steve

  • Sure.

    Funny thing is when I got home today and fired everything up neither the MCP or EFIS loaded the configurations I had done, everything was blank. I was able to reimport those ok
    ( I always export when I decide I'm done for the night for that reason so nothing was lost)

    I was wondering if I truncated the name too much as its just 777 because of all the different variations they included and didn't stick to any kind of naming convention.

  • Hi Steve,

    I'm struggling to re-create this issue. Your files import just fine in various scenarios. Are you still seeing the problem?

    As for the missing config. If you answered Yes to the question of using an existing config when you changed the aircraft name you would have lost your settings.

    Best wishes

    Steve

  • I think it was just a one off. I had it a couple of times and now I don't get that error anymore. I did exclude the documents folder and the GIT folder and GIT from windows defender.

    Maybe that was interfering?

  • Hope you can help me. I just bought the Xplane Interface Tool and everything seemed to import OK to both EFIS and MCP Pro as per installation instructions. I'm using the flight factor 777 and there are a couple of things not working.

    1.0    In my MCP Pro everything works except the button lights for both the VOR LOC and APP. The buttons themselves function OK.

    2.0    In the EFIS When I push the DH button for half a second it does toggle the minimum setting (green) but the rotary button just goes from 0 to 10. So can't set my minimums with My EFIS but works OK when I set it inside the 777.

    3.0    When I push the Baro button in for half a second it does toggle between STD and green elevation setting but again no adjustment when I turn the rotary knob. Did I miss something during installation and if not are other people experiencing this problem.  Everything else works fine. Your help and comments would be appreciated.

    It is great to see these GITs for both FSX and Xplane. Well worth the money!

    Thank you

    Wayne

  • Thanks Wayne, I'll take a look quick and see if I can duplicate your issues. If there is a prob I'll update the profile.

  • I figured out what causes this error.

    If I shut down GIT and try to restart it without restarting X-plane it will happen every time.( was testing a start event and figured I could just shut down the program and restart it).

  • Thanks, I'll look into it.
  • Steve,

    Is this still an issue in the latest version?

    Thx

    Steve

  • Nope I can restart GIT or x plane with no issues now.
