GIT 2.2.4.1 - Strange behaviour with GF-166's

I can't seem to get my GF166's to work reliably.

When I start GIT/P3D the MCP etc initialises but the radios remain off and are not functional(No display or buttons function but the devices show up in the tabs).

I have to unplug/replug the USB connection , then restart GIT ,  then it will work. Rinse and repeat for the other GF166. but then when I do this the other radio stops working or sometimes they both work.

When I do have 1 working the GF_166_Control_TOGGLE1_2 function doesn't appear to work either.

Tried disabling the GF databridge, running as admin etc to no avail.

I'm almost sure it's not a driver issue because the XPlane version of GIT both radios start and work normally without having to do any of this.

  • Hi Steve,

I can comfirm that the GF_166 control functions are not working.

As for the other issues, I am not seeing that. I did however have a similar problem some time back which appeared from nowhere. In the end I had to buy extra hubs and separate all my GF166's out onto different hubs. They are notorious for being finicky.

    Best wishes

    Steve

  • I'll try moving them to diff USB 2 ports and see if that fixes it. Weird that it happens right out of the blue. Maybee a stealthy Windows 10 update did something....

  • Moving them around to 2 diff ports seems to have corrected the issue. Still baffled as to why it happened out of the blue like that.

    Thx
