GFIT Development

Hi Steve,

I was wondering if we can expect any further updates soon? Of the items on the development list, the ones I'm most interested in seeing (in order of priority) are:

  1. Full simconnect support for the PMDG NGX (in particular GF166 functionality with this aircraft)
  2. Add an if..else function to Bespoke Events
  3. Bespoke variables

I'm sure other users' priorities may be different though.

Kind regards,

Dennis

    Hi Dennis,

I have been working on adding joystick support and trying to work out how FSUIPC does mouse macros. The one aircraft that motivated me to start this project was the QW BAe146, but when I started to use GIT with it I realised some of the functionality needed mouse macros as the lvars were not available. I have spent many dev days trying to work it out, hence the lack of any updates. I will have one final attempt at it this weekend and then move onto less technical things on GIT I think.

    Best wishes

Thanks for the update Steve. Good luck with the mouse macro investigation - think this may be really useful as there are a couple of aircraft I've come across that don't appear to make use of lvars.

    Kind regards,

    Dennis

Hi Steve, I was wondering if a new release may be imminent soon? No problem if not, just curious.

    Thanks,

    Dennis

    Hi Dennis,

I'm aiming for this weekend - a couple of bug fixes and axis support for the TQ6. I'm just ironing out kinks in the axis area support.

    Best wishes

Thanks for the update Steve. What is next on your list btw?

Probably button and joystick support for general input devices as I have the DirectX interface built, but no user interface as yet. After that it will be the NGX port in readiness for 777 development.

Steve, since updating to the new release, I've been getting the following error message on P3D start up after copying the user.config file from the previous version to the new version:

"Failed to load Configuration Data for Device GFDEVHWTYPE_GF166"

The config file then reduces in size by around 11kb and the error message doesn't re-appear again. I was concerned that I may have lost some of my previous settings, so I re-copied the previous config file back over the top of the new one and the error message re-appeared.

I'm wondering if the format of the configuration data may have changed between the last and new release?

    Best regards,

    Dennis

    Hi Dennis,

In the new version there are some additional data quality checks to deal with a bug in the loading process. It may be nothing to worry about because it fixed errors. However, I would like a copy of your original config so I can check things out. Email it to me along with the aircraft details that triggered the error.

A belated thanks Steve for all of the recent improvements, of which there have been many - it's much appreciated by all using your brilliant software I'm sure.

Looking forward to trying the latest bespoke variable enhancement in particular.

    Best regards,

    Dennis

    Hi All,

I have finally worked out how to do mouse macros so they will be coming to GIT sometime later this week.

Version 2.0.1049.0 now supports Mouse Click Events (mouse macros as they are known in FSUIPC).

    Best wishes
