GE Config won't start without FS installation...
The first item in the Installation Instructions is to start up GFConfig and set some attributes for GF hardware. Unfortunately, GFConfig won't start unless it finds some flavor of MFS or Prepar3d on the machine...
Is there some work around here for a machine that only has X-Plane ? Is this even necessary if GFConfig has never run and develped a settings file of some sort ?

Hi Terry,
That is a mistake from copying and pasting the instructions from the FSX version of GIT. It is not necessary to do that.
