Aircraft Power (Both versions of GIT)

Hey Steve a quick question I haven't been able to figure out.

When I setup the aircraft power function, does that get exported to the profiles or is it just local to my PC only?

I don't have a second PC to check.

EDIT: I have to say this feature is very cool,  on the IXEG in the sim the displays flicker off for a second as power transfers from one bus to the other and the exact same thing happens on the MCP and radios on my hardware!

  • Hi Steve,

No it doesn't get exported. I can add it to the dev plan if you wish.

    Best wishes

    Steve

  • Sounds like a good idea to me. It adds another level of realism if it's setup properly.

  • What aircraft power function settings work best for IXEG?

Also, why do I get "failed to load configuration for POWER" error next time I run GIT for this plane?
  • PIC   this is the setting I use for the IXEG

Looks like a bug. I think Steve will have to look at the power thing. It works until the next time you load GIT and XP then I get the failed to load config for power too.

It seems to be happening with other aircraft too not just the IXEG

    Hey Slayer,

I played around with the electricals and found out that the instruments are powered either by DC Bus 1 or the Standby DC Bus.  DC Bus 2 only powers instruments as long as bus transfer is enabled.  The DC volts indicator changes based on the selector (set to test and indicator goes to zero) so not ideal.

I created a custom Bespoke variable and put logic in START to model power availability.

    Hey Steve,

Hopefully you can get the Aircraft power setting save fixed.  Might I suggest it be configured as a special Bespoke event POWER as this needs to be customized for every aircraft and can be stored in the aircraft xml

  • Hi Steve (not Slayer)

Can you acknowledge whether the above is operator error or a bug that can be put on the todo list?

    Thanks.
  • I'm working on it!

    Best wishes

    Steve

  • Everything seems to work great in 1.5.1 but I've only had a chance to update 1 profile. thanks. again Steve
