GF166/GF46/GF45/MSPRO dependent on Avionics switch

Is it possible to add a feature by which certain GoFlight devices are turned on or off dependant on the Avionics switch?

I have the devices controlled via the Aircraft Power facility on the Status tab, however in the real world light aircraft I fly, the radio devices are not turned or or display until the Avionics switch is turned on.

  • Hi David,

You could set the Aircraft Power to monitor the Avionics Switch.

  • Hi Steve

True, but then my warning panel lights and switch lights would only be on when avionics is on, and not general power.

From my understanding in real aircraft there is a separate avionics switch which isolates power from sensitive devices that might be impacted by power fluctuations and spikes when the engine(s) are started.

Therefore the normal procedure is to turn on power (warning lights etc are illuminated, then start the engines, and then turn on the avionics.
Its only after the avionics switch is on do the radio and GPS units turn on/light up.

  • Hi David,

I would need to add that functionality into GIT. I think it would be a pretty neat feature so I will add it to the Development Plan.

  • Hi David,

Expect a new release tomorrow that supports turning off displays and LED's due to Avionics Power status.

    Best wishes
