How to interface tool to X-Plane

I'm a new user.  I only have the LGT-II and the TQ6 at this time.  I can get LGT-II to work with the tool but have to manually enable device 0 each time I start X-Plane.  I'm starting the tool after X-plane is running and an aircraft has been selected.  Is there a way to simply start X-Plane with the tool automatically attached and the devices enabled?

Also, the tool crashes whenever I try to use the import wizard.  The GIT plug-in is enabled on startup.

  • Hi,

It can look like a device is disabled, because the settings are not loaded on the device tab until you select a device - then the actual device state is loaded. Have you simply tried started the Goflight Interface Tool  and using the LGT without checking the tab? If it still does not work, I'll log it as a bug and take a look. Let me know the outcome please.

The Import Wizard will be crashing because none of the downloadable aircraft files have any LGTII and TQ6 support as yet. All of them for X-Plane are for the MCP PRO and EFIS only. You can use Detective to develop your own configs for these devices - but try the FS Default button first for the LGTII.

Obviously the Import Wizard shouldn't crash in the situation where no device configs exist for the devices attached - it should notify you; so that is a bug that I'll fix.

    Best wishes

    Steve

  • Thanks for the reply.

The LGT works just fine without checking the tab.  The default settings plus programmed settings for the toggle switch survive a computer restart.

Is there any way the tool can be "attached" to the X-Plane startup sequence so that only one button has to be clicked?
