PMDG interface and GoFlight MESM

Just installed new GF MESM. Enabled in the interface RH knob does, GND, OFF, CONT & FLT, LH knob goes from GND straight to CONT then to FLT, Can't select OFF at all?

Also after a pause everything restarts except the MESM. It loses it's connection and I have to restart the interface.

    Hi Paul,

Can you test it works OK in GFConfig just to eliminate any hardware problems. The reason being, that the only MESM problem raised was when the GoFlight drivers were updated and they fixed a bug that I was working around.

You must be on the previous release of GoFlight Drivers for the PMDG Interface and the MESM to work, otherwise use GIT and the latest release of GoFlight Drivers.

I'm on GF drivers 2.20 PMDG interface 1.1.

How do I test the MESM in the GFConfig?

    Hi Paul,

You need to be on 2.21 minimum for the PMDG Interface. 2.23 will not work with the MESM. I would recommend using 2.22.

I'm now on 2.22. Same issue. LH (CW) goes from GND to FLT will not stop at OFF or CONT. LH (CCW) goes from FLT to CONT to GND will not stop at off.

Problem is I don't know how to test to see if I've got a duff unit?

    Hi Paul,

I don't own a MESM so its difficult for me to help you. I developed the code for the MESM using someone else as a tester until it worked ok.

I'm guessing you can configure the MESM in gfconfig to send events. Just try that if you can and see if the events are sent in all positions.

    Best wishes
