Simconnect issue?

Hello,
I recently installed GIT and Goflight Confg (most current one).  Initally under (status) Goflight was flashing green and simconnect and aircraft were flashing red.  I re-read the install instructions and uninstalled and then re-installed GIT and goflight confg.  Now all three are flashing red.  I thought it was a simconnect issue.  Is there something I need to download to make it work?

Also, under log it says 16:06 Goflight connection starting
                        16:06 Simconnect connection starting
16:06 Goflight Worker Thread Failed: Unable to load DLL 'GFDev.dll':The specified module could not be found. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)

I'm using P3d V2 on Windows 10 64 bit

Thanks for any help,
Matt

  • Hi Matt,

You either need to install GIT into the same directory as your GoFlight drivers (as per the installation instructions) or copy GFDev.dll into the GIT directory from the GoFlight drivers directory.

  • Hi,

I tried that and it still does not seem to work.  GIT shows green under GoFlight flashing red under SimConnect/FSX and Solid Red under Aircraft.

Under GoFlight all my modules are recognized and oddly enough LGTII is working except for the ELEV TRIM.  Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Matt

  • Just realised you are using v2 of P3D. It only works with v3. v2 support was dropped a couple of months ago.

  • So in order to get Goflight modules to work with PMDG in P3D I will have to get P3D V3 correct?

    Thanks,

    Matt

  • Yes Matt. P3D v2 support was dropped because nobody wanted it anymore and P3D v3 added additional functionality that GIT could utilise.

I could do you a one off build for P3D v2, but it would only be a one off.

  • That would be great.  But is that very time consuming for you?  I just purchased GIT and intend to buy P3D v3 in the next  6 months to a year when i build a new computer for V3

    Thanks,
    Matt
  • Hi Matt,

I'll get a build done for the weekend.

  • Great!!! Thank you very much

  • Hi Matt,

Your account profile should now show a v2 build available for download.

  • Hi Steve,

I will install tonight and let you know if all goes well!

    Thanks again

  • Hi Steve,

So far everything seems to be working except Goflight TQ6 Throttle Quadrant.  Using PMDG 737 Engine 1 and 2 idle is around 40%. Thrust reverse and flaps do not work.  Using the spoiler or speed brake lever causes the ailerons full deflection to the left or right.  Any suggestions on how to fix?

    Thanks,

    Matt

  • Hi Matt,

Make sure you run though the correct calibration process within GIT. The auto config only roughly sets things up, you have to fine tune it. Also make sure none of the axes are setup within P3D as you will have odd behaviour.

    Best wishes

    Steve
