Programming GF46

Hi, I am using your Goflight interface tool for driving MCPPro and GF46 with the last version of Prepar3D and PMDG 737 NGX.
I have downloaded the latest version of Goflight config. I have programmed the functions 1=Nav1
I am unable to use the GF46 which displays permanently NAV1 and --1--
Is there anything I have to add in the 737NGX_options ini ??
Thanks for you help

  • The GF46 is preconfigured for the NGX via GIT although you can change the settings.

If you are using GFConfig instead of GIT, you must disable the GF46 in GIT.

  • Thank you, but when I only use the GIT with NGX, the leds of my GF46 are black.
Is there anything I have to add in the 737NGX_options ini ??

  • No. Have you enabled the device in GIT?

    Best wishes

    Steve

  • How shall I do that.
    I see 2 items in GIT: 460 and 46R
I have set device 0 enabled but still a black GF46

You enable the device on the 46R tab.

Can you confirm items are set in all the fields?

Also make sure you have nothing set for the GF46 in GFConfig.

  • Hello Steve
On the 46R tab I can display: Device: Device 0
When I press identify = nothing happens
Then I display a series of option with rotatory event and rotatory action????
I tried to restart the computer and not to activate GFconfig
    GF46 leds are still black?
  • Please find a picture of my GIT pages
  • If the Identify function is not working then it sounds like the device has locked up. Power cycle the device and try again. Also make sure it isn't plugged into a USB3 port and a powered hub is used.

    Best wishes

  • You are perfectly right, I was using a USB3 port, my computer is very recent and is only equipped with USB3.
    I found a USB2 and when I use the PMDG, the GF46 now displays D0 000000

    GIT is set as follows:
Rotatory event clockwise Nav1 radio set
How shall I set rotatory action to display NAV1?
Do you have a manual to explain all these functions?
    Thanks for your help

  • Hello again Steve
I succeeded in displaying ALT, GYRO, NAV on the GF46 leds but the rotatory knobs cannot change the values?
    Thanks agin for your help
  • What events have you configured in the 46R tab for ALT?

    Best wishes

  • Hello Steve
    I would like to program NAV1 and NAV2, COM1 &2 with GF 46.
    I have programmed the 460
    device 0 enabled
    option 7
    Function Nav1
    display NAV-ACTIVE-FREQUENCY1
I can display the active frequency but unable to modify it with the knobs of the GF46 as I used to do previously with GF config

There is another item 46R displaying
    clockwithe Kohlsman_INC
    rotate
but I do not know what to do with it
    when I click identify I display D0 00000 on the GF46
  • Please find pictures
  • Read the GF45/46 section of this article for the simple way to do this: http://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/user-guide/user-guide-git/19-operating/22-configuring-goflight-devices-additional-information.html

    Alternatively:

Only the standby frequencies can be changed in the NGX as per the actual aircraft. If you delete the config by pressing the X button on the 46 tab and then quit GIT and restart it, the GF46 should go back to defaults. One of the entries in the default config is for the standby frequency of NAV1 which should guide you in configuring one of the other options for NAV2.

The NGX will respond with standard Simconnect COM1 and 2 events in the same way as the NAV functions. E.g. Assign COM_RADIO_WHOLE_INC on the Rotary Event Clockwise Non Pushed and COM_RADIO_FRACT_INC_CARRY to the Rotary Event Clockwise Pushed . Assign the opposite ...DEC events for the Anti Clockwise functions. You can see all the COM events available along with a description here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc526980.aspx#AircraftAvionicsIDs

    Kohlsman sets the Barometer.
