newest version and new computer clean install

I'm running a clean install of p3d v3.4 on a brand new pc and just installed the latest git. I show the aircraft loaded but a red light, simconnect yellow  and goflight is red but showing all my hardware.  I downloaded the current goflight software.  When i try to close the git it freezes and requires task manager to end the process.  I have uninstalled the GIT and reinstalled it along with removing the dll entry with no change. The error on the log tab is the duplicate_ID.  I had loaded P3d with a default aircraft and it seemed to be working.  I was able to enable devices but shortly after it locked up.

Any help would be great.

  • Hi Justin,

If you have a MESM attached, you need the version of the GoFlight drivers listed in Yellow at the top of this forum. Make sure GFDev.dll is also in the GIT directory.

  • I downloaded the drivers I do have the mean but also don't use the MESM so I unconnected it as well. I have verified that the GFDev.dll is in the same goflight directory that the GIT is. The GIT creates a windows error "has stopped communicating with windows and has been shut down".
  • Has there been any other issue that has caused GIT to lock up and fail to shutdown? Im about to the point of doing a complete uninstall and reinstall of everything p3d related... I'm lost for what to do. Simconnect is working fine with AS16. Goflight modules work with just the goflight config program. It's simply the GIT I am having the issues with.
  • The last person who had a similar issue reinstalled .NET Framework. Check the GIT system requirements as it uses 2 versions of .NET

I am showing 3.5.1 and 4.6.1 installed. I completely uninstalled flight sim and goflight along with every addon and I'm still having the same issues. Is there some sort of information I could look for and provide to try and solve this? I'm wondering if my pro version of windows 7 is causing it? I am at a loss.
  • Well, today I thought what haven't I done. Basic, advanced, or otherwise. I realized I ever moved my USB hub with all the hardware to another port. It was in a USB 3. I moved it to a 2.0 and all the lights went green and it all started working. Allllll that for a USB port. I had thought I set my bios to treat the 3's as 2's like goflight had an article about but I guess not. Thanks for the help. Keep this in mind for the next guy. Lol
