MCP problems
I have tried to follow your instructions to programme the interface tool for my GF-MCP. The problem is that the vertical speed dial action is reversed and the numbers in the GF unit only sometimes correspond to those in the simulation. The Interface tool shows the MCP as disabled and clicking on the box to enable it has no effect. Can you suggest a way forward?
Comments
If using the FSX/P3D version of GIT, make sure you have set the MCP set to compatible add-on in GFConfig.
You can use the input action of ROTATE_REVERSED to correct the dial problem.
If the aircraft is a standard aircraft just click the FS Default button to auto configure it.
The device state is not updated until a device is picked, so it may look disabled but is actually enabled.
Best wishes

Hi Tony,
GFConfig is part of the GoFlight driver software, you will find it where you installed the drivers from GoFlight (GIT is usually installed in the same place).
Anyway, I told you wrong, it should be set to FSDefault for the MCP Advanced. The MCP PRO should be set to Compatible add-on. See the installation guide and make sure all these steps have been done: http://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/user-guide/user-guide-git/16-installation/14-installation.html

Hi Tony,
I didn't realise you were using the NGX. This is configured automatically. All you need to do is enable the device by selecting Device 0 in the drop down and then selecting Enable next to it. If you don't see a drop down list, move GIT so that it is not sitting over the flight sim window.
The other thing to check if the displays are not working is the FAQ entry "My MCP PRO or MCP Advanced is not updating its display (just showing zeroes)". The FAQ is here: http://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/user-guide/user-guide-git/16-installation/70-faq-goflight-interface-tool.html
I'll check in while about the VS dial.
Best wishes

Tony,
You need to click on the blank pulldown list box to the left of DISABLED and select Device 0. You can then enable the device if it isn't already.

Hi Tony,
With the MCP Advanced, GFConfig needs to be set to FS Default. You could also quit the GoFlight Data Bridge when your flight sim starts (its a blue icon with a black aircraft which appears in the taskbar notification area).

That's strange Tony. Just double check you have clicked the correct flight sim tab in GFConfig for configuring the MCP Advanced to FS Default and make sure all the actions are set to nothing.
GIT does required the GF166 and GF46 to be configured. The GF166 is straight forward though as you can click a button to auto configured for NAV, COM or ADF.
