GF MCP PRO And X-Plane 11 w/your interface not connecting
Hi,
Just purchased XP 11 / MCP-PRO and your interface, once installed, receive error "GIP Pipe Connect Failed" I did see the main post on this and did check the location, I think it's in the proper location, I really would appreciate some guidance on this. Would love to use my new MCP!
Thank You!
Sincerely,

Hi Jeff,
The GIT plugin is not running, probably because its not in the correct location. See the FAQ entry "The Log Continually Shows "GIP: Pipe Connect Failed!" here: http://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/user-guide/goflight-interface-tool-x-plane/40-faq/96-faq.html
Best wishes

Hi Jeff,
Get X-Plane running and check that the GIT Plugin shows up and is enabled.

Thank you for your continued support, I am closer than I was although the MCP is still cold and dark. Here's bullets as to what I did to get XP to "see" your intterface and achieve 3 green lights on the interface, but still with some red Xs See below
1 - uninstalled everything related to GIT AND GoFlight software
2 - re-installed in correct DIR - at this point
3 - Reinstalled GF Drivers to see if that would do it...................It did not
4- Per PP directions removed the dataRef plugin in XP............Also did not help
5 - FYI The GF Setup SF does not list XP 11 as an addable program...?
6 - Still cold and Dark, what are next steps , I looked for further instruction past this point on your side but couldn't find anything further
Thank you so much

Steve,
GF Config does not see XP-11 as a supported program. I used the "program installation box to direct to my XP install location and it does not find. I also understand from your instructions that the GF may not be needed , but have tried with and without, with no success. Please advise
Thank You!
Jeff
Hi Jeff,
Goflight do no support X-Plane, so forget about their drivers.
You need to configure the MCP PRO now. Select the device number from the drop down on the MCP PRO tab. Click the Default FS button to load up default values and then enable it.
You need to read this section in the manual for understand how to build your own configs or load up other peoples from the download section of the website: http://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/user-guide/goflight-interface-tool-x-plane/35-operating.html

Steve,ng
Thank you, it is up and running (not fully though) with the stock X-Plane 737-800. Most of the functionality is there, but here are the current existing issues, These are a couple of examples.
1. FO Course non-functional between sim and mcp
2. Some lights on certain functions between sim and mcp not sync'd/working
3. AutoThrottle switch not sync's (not working)
4. F/D switch not sync'd (not working)
Why did some/most of the functions sync right up and others did not? Please advise.
Thank you so much for getting me to this point
Sincerely,
Jeff Carlson
Hi Jeff,
X-Plane isn't like FSX in that it uses a standard autopilot for all default aircraft. At this point you have two choices:
a) Learn how to use Detective and tweak the config for the 737 until it operates as you wish it.
b) Use an aircraft that someone has already configured to work with GIT. See the downloads section of the website.
Best wishes
Steve
