Event in GIT does not work like in XP-11

Hi,

if I set my RP48 Rotaries in GIT for the command "sim/GPS/g430n1_chapter_up" and down this works at the C172. If I set the same in the Carenado C210 with REP this function doesn't work with the RP48. BUT, if I set the same function in GIT to a button (e.g. P8) this function works with the same command"sim/GPS/g430n1_chapter_up".

Why does this work with a button, but not with the rotary?

Regards,
Martin

  • Hi Martin,

Not sure what you mean by "If I set the same in the Carenado C210 with REP". If REP means REPEAT then that's probably the issue. Always use ROTATE with the RP48 rotaries.

    Best wishes

  • Hi Steve,

thank you for your help. Meanwhile I found the solution. I had to delete the standard settings of the RP48 and then set the new commands. Now it works.

One thing would be great in a new version of GIT. If I want to set a new command to a button or knob, I have to scroll down the whole datarefs. Maybe there is already a way to search the standard datarefs for specific commands which I don't know.

    Best wishes,
    Martin
  • Yes, I'm planning to add a search function.

  • This would be great.

At the moment I try to setup the X-Plane 11 B737-800X (Mod by Zibo) http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/111305-boeing-b738-800-modified/ for the MCP-Pro and EFIS. Unfortunately I can not find the commands. There should be a "laminar/B738/autopilot/autothrottle_arm_toggle" and I can't find this in the input events of the "SWITCH_AT_ARM". I'm lost with setting up a plane. :(

  • Hi Martin,

Just quickly looked at the link and he lists two files for the Commands and Datarefs so are these picked up by GIT? (Green ticks on the Status tab next to DataRefs.txt and Commands.txt. If not assuming the contents inside the file is OK, try renaming the files as per what GIT is looking for. If that doesn't work, move them into the root of the B737-800X Mod aircraft directory.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Martin,
If you make a copy of the file B738_Commands.txt and rename the copy to Commands.txt, when you next restart GIT the commands should be available.

  • Hi David,

I'll try and have a look if I'm at home. I think the files with the Commands and Datarefs are in the root folder of the B737-800X but GIT does not pick them up.

In another thread I read that you made a MCP-Pro config for the B737-800X Zibo mod. Would you share this setup with me and others? Maybe Steve could put it at the download section.

    Thanks,
    Martin
  • Hi Martin,
Yes I've been trying to build a configuration for the B738-800X Zibo mod. I'm at the stage where I've got most of the switches, buttons and toggles working, but there are two things still outstanding. One is the map_mode on the GF_EFIS in that the position switch operates the MFD correctly but the switch doesn't animate in the sim by using bespoke datarefs defined in Detective.
The other are the lights for the buttons on the GF_MCPRO. The buttons work correctly but the lights don't illuminate correctly. I'm trying to use the commands and datarefs exposed by Zibo.
I'm hoping Steve may be able to shed some light on this. (Pardon the pun).

If I can get these issues sorted, I'll definitely be sharing the files.

    Thanks.

  • Hi All,

I have just switched over to Xplane and using the Zibo mod 737. In Prepar3d I could get all buttons and switches to work flawlessly. However in xplane I am having problems with getting buttons to work. Especially the Battery switch. I am using a push button for the battery. Any one have ideas how to get buttons to work?
