Slow Rotaries on MCP-PRO-

Hey everyone and Steve :)

I'm seeing a few things here on there in regards to this with x-plane but no one seems to have an answer.
I'm literally starting out with the default 737 in X-plane 11. I'm just getting used to assigning datarefs, light actions etc. I've already learned a lot and I highly advise anyone doing that if you're new to this which I am.

I wanted to see if there was anything I can do to speed up the turn of the rotaries. Tens of feet ain't going to work as I'm going to need to send my stuff back to go flight to have the unit's rotaries replaced as I'm going to wear them out turning them. I could use 100's but as this will be used primarily for airliner stuff thousands would work. On a MCP-PRO A22 firmware. Is there anything I can do?

  • Hi Justin,

You can make sure you are using the Event Action of ROTATE as this speeds up the rotary.
I'm not aware of any XP Commands that will accelerate anything useful for the MCP PRO. However building Bespoke Events in Detective that increment/decrement the relevant DataRefs by 100 or 1000 is probably the way to go and then assign these to your rotaries.

    Best wishes

  • Hi Justin,
I'm trying to configure the Boeing B738-800 in x-plane 11 (Zibo) and have most of it done. Having problems with lights on the buttons, but that's another thread.
I use the sim/autopilot/altitude_up and sim/autopilot/altitude_down commands for the ROTATE_ALTITUDE input. It increments/decrements by 100.

Let us know how you get on.

  • Hey Steve,

I had assigned the rotary function per the Faq sheet suggestion or maybe one of the other topics I believe, but anyways, I do not notice any change on any of my rotaries. No matter which one I assign a rotary function too or adding a custom value to the rotary. And yes David, That's the exact data refs I use with the default 737-800

Steve, one of the days I'll get to adding custom Bespoke events. I'm just not there in understanding how to do that. But until then, the mouse it is. Such a shame. Thanks, for the quick replies.
