LGTII Not working

Hi Folks

I have a major problem in that my LGTII is just not working with the PMDG Interface...
The Gear lever just does not operate the landing gear at all.. I checked the LOG window of the PMDG interface and all it keeps telling me is:

04:48:04 Synchronising Switches & Selectors Complete
04:48:35 LGTII: 'A.' does not contain a definition for 'GoFlightLGTButtonOnEvent'

It does this every time I move the gear lever..

Another odd thing too is, I had to configure the elevator trim as Aileron trim and Aileron trim as Elevator trim to get them to work the right way round. They were backwards initially, and now only work when set to control the other AXIS trim..

Just tried the newest PMDG interface v1.2.5 and its the same.

I'm using all my GoFlight panels via Simconnect from a second PC..

Flaps switch works normally, rudder trim works normally, its just the gear lever and the Elev/Ail trim wheels that dont work correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this software seems bloody excellent, far superior to the peice of junk that GF provide.

The LGTII doesnt work at all with FSX default aircraft, using GFConfig, but might that be due to using Simconnect?

Many thanks
Rich

    Hi Rich,

That is clearly a coding error. I'll fix in a later release.

    Hi Steve

Many thanks mate.. Is there any sort of update notifications list to let folk know when the GoFlight interface is updated?

    Hi Rich,

I'll email you directly as I will need you to test it for me before I release it.

    Hi Steve

Cool, many thanks. Another query if I may, on the LGT tab, when I select "Device 0" > "Enabled", all of the boxes below when selecting "Button gear up" and "Button Gear Down" are greyed out and input event box has nothing in it.

I have for both gear up and down....
Input event: [ON] [..............] < Empty box
    Input Acton [NOTHING]

    Hi Rich,

If the plane loaded was the NGX, thats normal as it comes pre-configured. If not its a bug.

    It was indeed the NGX, but I thought because the LGT2 doesnt work/operate the gear at all, that this might be why if the box was empty and the log file says;
"LGTII: 'A' does not contain a definition for "GoFlightLGTButtonOnEvent"
"LGTII: 'A' does not contain a definition for "GoFlightLGTButtonOffEvent"

The LGTII did work (although its been some time since I had any feedback on it), but it looks like the device no longer has an event mapped to it to support button actions - hence why it does nothing. For the NGX there will be no events listed because it uses custom code that allows the use of simulating the 3 positions of the NGX gear handle.

Ahhh, in that case Steve, I sincerely look forward to testing your beta fix when your ready mate..
I have to say, this software is sooo much better than the none-fnctional pile-o-poo that GF provide, which for the price of the hardware, is just so abismal...

If it were not for your software, I think I would be sending it all back to GF for a refund..
Beers will be on me if you manage to crack this one mate :-) Count me i as a supporter..

I have just upgraded from 1.1 to 1.2.5 and my LGT does not control the landing gear anymore. Trim wheel works fine but no gear up/down

    Hi Paul

Does your log file also say ""LGTII: 'A' does not contain a definition for "GoFlightLGTButtonOffEvent"?

This issue is now fixed in both the latest versions of the software.

Hey Paul, are your elevator trim wheel and aileron trim wheels opposite of each other?
My Elevator trim wheel works the Ailerons and the Aileron trim wheel works the Elevators... I had to set them the other way round to correct it.

    Hi RCITGuy,

Try this version for your swapped trim controls. You may have to reset the events etc if you have them swapped around already.

Ah haa, thanks Steve, I havent yet used or setup the "Goflight interface tool" as I have been using the "Goflight PMDG Interface" of yours instead.
Can the non PMDG tool pickup the settings from the PMDG tool or do I need to re-configure the non-PMDG tool from scratch, like I did with the PMDG tool?

OK, I'll do you the PMDG version, hang on a few minutes.

    Hi Steve

Seems all is now good, the LGT2 is working perfectly.
I did have to change the assignments on the trim wheels though, as the "evt_" ones are too sensitive, so I switched them to "aileron trim up and down" on the "rotate" leaving action to nothing and now they seem perfect and more realistic :-)

Cant thank you enough my friend...
