It sounds like the GIT plugin is not running. Re-run the setup and make sure when prompted it is installed in the correct X-Plane installation.

  • I reran the setup and installed it in my solid state F drive where my xplane folder is. When i run goflight config i get a listing of com-patable flight sims but xplane is not listed. E nclosed is a screen shot.
  • It's not the GoFlight Drivers but GIT that you need to reinstall. Towards the end of the setup process you will be prompted to confirm that the correct X-Plane directory has been found where the GIT plugin is to be installed.

  • I reinstalled the git but nothing changed. It loaded git into my "F" drive/xplane/resources/plugin.I did this three times.
  • Can you check the plugin is actually running in X-Plane. There is a menu option to enable and disable plugins - it should be listed and enabled there.

    Thx
    Steve
  • I checked and it is enabled.enclosed are screen shots.
  • Having looked at your screen shot from your very first post, it looks like the LED and Display data is missing. Can you load up the aircraft in X-Plane again and then on the MCP PRO tab, click the Default FS button.

    Thx
    Steve
  • I clicked the default button and the display came on .When i turn on the flight dir and auto throttle the green lights come on but the switches on the flight sim do not turn on.Also i can adjust each display on mcp panel and everything changes except the co pilots course. It changes on the mcp but not on the flight sim. The two CW buttons below the auto pilot buttons are on and i cant turn them off.
  • Default FS configures the MCP PRO for a basic MCP. It will need tweaking for most aircraft. Alternatively download one of the freeware 737's and use the pre built configs from the Downloads section of this website.

  • What do i do to tweak the mcp?
  • You need to use Detective to monitor what Datarefs change when you activate something in the VC. If you can't find anything then try some Commands.

I know when I was testing, some functionality of the 738 MCP could not be mapped.

  • I watched a you tube video on using pollypot and it shows how to program LVARS but LVARS do not show in my program. All i get is the events toggle. As far as the mcp do i only put commands in the events toggle?
  • The LNAV and VNAV buttons do not work and the co-pilots course display doesn't change when i rotate the course dial on the mcp for the co-pilot.
  • also when i toggle fd and auto throttle switches the green lights go on but switches in sim do no turn on.
  • Datarefs are the X-Plane version of LVars and Commands are the X-Plane version of Events.

Detective will show Dataref changes only.

You will need to read up on the concepts (https://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/user-guide/goflight-interface-tool-x-plane/34-concepts.html) and process (https://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/user-guide/goflight-interface-tool-x-plane/36-detective.html).

  • I read the manual several times. When i select detective ,run data refs then pause and hide ,good so far. Then i press a button on the sim after unpausing but all data refs show. I cant SEE THE COMMAND TO TURN ON THE LNAV LIGHT. iS IT POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO ASSIGN THE COMMAND TO TURN ON THE LNAV LIGHT AND SEND ME A SCREENSHOT of the goflight interface command and data ref box THEN I CAN DUPLICATE IT AND DO THE REST FROM THERE.
  • If all the Datarefs are showing after unpausing then you haven't hidden them properly. You need to let Detective run for 30 seconds or so, then select the detected Datarefs by clicking the "Detected" button, click the top checkbox so all of them are selected and then click the hide button. All the hidden Datarefs should be shown in the hidden view when you click the button "Hidden".

You could of course try searching for lnav in commands or datarefs and then try them on the MCP PRO.

  • pilotincmd,
Are you flying Zibo's Boeing B738-800 modified version ? (http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/111305-boeing-b738-800-modified/). I've mapped the GF-MCP Pro, GF-EFIS, 2x GF-166 (Com and Nav) and the GF-LGT II.
The only problem I have is the map mode position switch. The mode changes in the MFD but the position switch doesn't animate in the sim. I'm still working on that one. There's also some mucking around in the aircrafts folder but I'll provide a readme file to spell out what needs to be done after you install the aircraft.

    Steve,
What specific files need to be included in the zip file?

    Thanks.
