Cannot get TQ6 to work proprrly

Dear Steve & others

Im struggling with my TQ6 and fsx (with Windows 7). I have the latest GIT version installed, but i just cannot get the spoilers or throttles to work. With fsuipc they work almost fine, but when i unassign all axes from fsuipc i cannot get the levers to move just using GIT assignments or they move erratically. When i move the levers (during assignments) the numbers move correctly on GIT but it does not make the levers move in fsx.

Im sure there has to be some conflicts but i dont know which could cause it as no keys are assigned to throttles or spoilers and fsuipc is clear as well as goflight own assignments are clear.

I would need assistance on this matter, im even willing to pay for it to make things work.

Thanks in advance

Best regards

Thomas Schmiedeke

  • Can you please attach a screenshot of your GIT spoiler config.

    Thx

  • That all does look OK. Have you double checked that FSX has not auto assigned your levers as it does have a habit of doing that. I would suggest disabling all controllers in FSX, there is a tick box for it. It might also be worth disabling FSUIPC in xml.dll as well whilst attempting to track down the issue.

If that doesn't solve the problem, let me know what aircraft you are trying it with and I will attempt to replicate the issue.

  • Hi Steve,

Thanks for your input. Goflight throttle is disabled from fsx settings, I have not tried yet to disable fsuipc and not quite sure how to do it, but I think I can find that information myself...

Anyway, im having this issue with the PMDG T7 and also 747 QOTS II.. Not tried it yet with the 737 NGX...

    Cheers

  • OK, I'll have a go myself later on this evening and report back.

I can sort of create what you are seeing on the spoiler with the T7 using your settings. The fix is to set your profile to Linear and Reverse needs ticking and then it should operate correctly. If not remove your Axis Area's in case they are set incorrectly and re-test.

PS: Double check GFConfig and make sure you haven't assigned anything to the axes in there. Remember there can be up to 3 different tabs where the LGT can be configured, each one for a different flight sim version if you have them all installed.
  • Hi Steve

Did some tweaking and finally got the throttles to work properly and after disabling fsuipc, my spoilers started to work. So once problem solved, few more to go... :) what should i do with fsuipc, leave it disabled or? Any ideas?

Thanks so far, finally i get the throttles work as they should

    Cheers

  • Great. FSUIPC has global settings and aircraft specific settings (if the tick box is ticked). It sounds like you still have axes assigned in one of these areas. GIT has always co-existed quite happily with FSUIPC so long as your don't assign stuff so that its duplicated on the same button or axis.

  • Hi Steve

Any idea how to check the possible dublicates and how to delete ones? As far as what comes to checking directly from FSUIPC, there was nothing assigned... Or would it be best to delete the fsuipc.ini file and let fsx create new from the scratch?

    Cheers

    Thomas
  • Deleting the ini is the easier way forward otherwise I would scan the ini file looking for assignments.
