Why is my MCP Pro adjusting all dialed inputs in increments of threes?

Hi, I have P3D v4, PMDG737NGX, SPADnext, Saitek controllers/radios/switch panel, Throttletek and MCP Pro & EFIS from GoFlight. All finally working together, other than the fact that I can only increase or decrease dialled settings (altitude, course etc..) in the MCP in increments of three.
Any ideas?

  • Hi,

Is it incrementing in 3 in the VC of the NGX as well as the GoFlight MCP or is the VC not changing?

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Hi Steve, yes, in the VC as well. I can adjust the VC MCP in increments of one which is also reflected in the GoFlight MCP.
  • Is it 3 or 300? If its 300, I suspect PMDG have changed something and I may need to turn off control acceleration in GIT as I did for the 777. If it is 3, then I think a uninstall/reinstall of the NGX would be the best course of action.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Believe it or not Steve, the altitude moves in 300's and the others in threes! :-). This was working fine last night by the way, but not this morning.

OK, can you reboot and try it again. If you loaded up an aircraft that enabled control acceleration it could have carried over to the NGX.

    Thx
    Steve
  • Rebooted; same issue. My default aircraft when starting P3D is the Beech King Air 350. I then normally change the aircraft to the PMDG737 before confirming scenario. I read somewhere that the PMDG aircraft should not be set as default. Any suggestions? Change the default perhaps?
  • Let me get a test version over to you in a few minutes. Hang on!

    Thx
    Steve
  • I have just PM'd you a link on the forum to a new version of GIT. Let me know asap as I need to get a new release out that fixes other issues as well.

    Thx
    Steve
  • Will do Steve - many thanks. In the meantime, I tried to set the PMDG as default just to see if that would work. Now P3D quits loading after a few seconds! Looks like A) that was a bad idea and B) I''ll have to do a fresh install of P3D before I can test your new version. Onto it now!
  • Perhaps your NGX install is messed up then. I would reinstall that as well before trying the test version of GIT as no one else has reported this problem.

    Thx
    Steve
  • Will do Steve, I'll let you know.
    Cheers.

How are you getting on? I could do with an answer ASAP so I can determine whether to include the fix I gave you in Friday's new release.

    Thanks

  • Hi Steve, Apologies, but I've had an overall nightmare that led to a complete reinstall of Windows! Working on it currently and I will hopefully conclude by Sunday latest. I'll update you then.
  • Hi Steve, all back up and running again with everything working nicely! This morning I inadvertently reinstalled the version that I had the issue with originally and lo and behold, it now works fine! The only thing I have left to install is FSUIPC which I need for my Throttletek quadrant. It'll be interesting to see if that screws everything up again!
