GFIT P3Dv4 Simconnect Exception received: Duplicate_ID

Hello, I have installed GFIT for P3Dv4 vers. 3_0_0_0 since 3_1_0_0 I can not execute (nothing happens after installing as admin...) GF driver 2.28 is installed and started after launing P3Dv4 - GFIT can not connect, red button is showing and log says SimConnect exception received: Duplicate_ID. Driver and GFIT is noted in exe.xml and dll.xml under prepar3D appdata roaming folder. I have installed Active Sky running via network/ simconnect and it is working well. Several attempts to reinstall and configure new, no help at all. A former FSX installation is at the flightsim PC but FSX is not used anymore. Can you help in this matter, please check GFIT P3Dv4 file too, no excecution possible. Best regards

    The dll file seems to have got corrupt in the new build. I have rebuilt the download, so if you re-download and install, it should all be OK.

    Can you make sure you do not have a lockheedmartin simconnect.dll in your GIT install directory.

    Its working OK for me, I suspect your download is corrupted. Try re-downloading again.

    I've downloaded it again, no success with vers. 3_1 the license agreement window did not open. The vers.3_0 I can install, then I have a prepar3D simconnect.dll in my GIT folder, what should I do with this file, delete, rename ? An why I can not install the vers. 3_1 ? Best regards

    Don't have both versions of GIT for P3Dv4 installed. Remove it all and just install 3.1. There should be no simconnect dll in the install directory with 3.1.

    It should be working fine as I recreated your initial problem and now it all works OK at my end. You could try renaming My Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool so you start with clean settings, but it should not be necessary.

    Hello Steve, vers. 3.1 I still can not install, tried several downloads, license agreement window did not open.:...... The only version I can install is 3_0, I have renamed the prepar3D simconnect.dll within GIT folder, but then I got a lot of erros saying simconnect is missing. What can I do else?

    With vers. 3_0 installed I can see the GIT under the menue addon but at the status page the first button is red, the second yellow and the third is re too. The GF Modules are listed but the GIT is without reaction I have to close it via task manager, no reaction. The P3D itselfis working. Best reagrds

    You need to install GIT into the GoFlight directory as it needs GFDev.dll. Alternatively copy GFDev.dll into the GIT installation directory.

    A red LED under GoFlight means GFDev.dll cannot be found

    I think delete GoFlight drivers and GIT. Rename Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool. Reboot and check the GoFlight directory is clean/gone. Install GoFlight drivers and then GIT 3.1 and try again.

    Hello Steve, installed GF and GIT clean new including restristration, no help, vers. 3_1 did not open, vers 3_0 with simconnect in GF/GIT directory, if deleted fault messages appearing. GF modules I can see on status tab under GF but buttons are red/yellow/red and log message is duplicate_ID. I have checked the dll and exe xml, entrys are made. No idea whats going wrong. Do you have? Best regards

    You do have the hotfix 1 version of P3D? You have renamed My Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool?

    LM version 4.0.28.21689 Simconn vers. 4.0.0.0, GIT directory deleted prior reinstall. It's now empty since GIT did not connect with PMDG

    Hello Steve, no 3_0 does not work thats why I started this tree, 3_1 I could not install. Still red/yellow/red buttons on GIT status page and Duplicated_ID in logfile for vers. 3_0. Best regards

    OK, make sure you have the very latest .NET framework installed. If you do have it reinstall it.

    If I shutdown P3D and GF and start GIT only, then GF status is green and GIT tool can be accessed on setting tab. If using with P3D running, no access to GIT except logfile, see start sequence until Duplicate_ID error:

    Hello Steve, no further ideas from my side, both problems could not be solved. I'm waiting for your inputs, what I like to know what is the meaning of Duplicate_ID Simconnect Error and why I can not install the GIT vers 3_1_0_0 ? e.g. the PMDG B737 I have installed new and it works fine. GF itself is working too, all modules are shown and can be assigned with GF commands, but if I starting GIT (vers. 3_0) after launching P3Dv4 and B737 PMDG it is showing the duplicate_ID error and did not work. Forgot to mention it is Windows10 updated to actual, no Virus scanner, except Defender but with Defender deactivated same behavior. It is a Problem for me, since I have lots of GF Modules to assign with PMDG. Best regards and hoping for your help.

    I think we need to get back to basics and use the default Baron (the PMDG brings its own set of issues). Also make sure you are using the fixed version of GIT I uploaded yesterday as the original upload was faulty.

    So with GIT 3.1(fixed version) and the Beech Baron can you get into Detective and turn on Lvar monitoring and do you see a stream of Lvar changes displayed? If not what can you do/see? Can you copy and paste the log.

    Hello Steve, in meantime I could identify the cause for the duplicate_ID error by disconnecting one GF module after each other, the GF-WP-6 causes the error, it could be reproduced. After deactivating GF-WP-6 GIT vers. 3.0 is working well, all buttons at status page are green. What I could not solve is the installation of GIT 3_1_0_0, the installation application did not open, windows error log told me something with edgehtml.dll and CHXSmartScreen.exe, do you changed the installation procedure btwn 3_0 and 3_1? I have tried as admin and in Win7 compatiblity mode, it is not working. GIT 3_0 I can install without any faults.
    Cortana and edge stuff is deactivated, I'm using firefox within Windows10. Can you review the installation calls of the GIT 3_1 again since I never have had problems to install a application on my system. At the moment I'm happy to solve the duplicate_ID error but I wish to install the lastest update of GIT too. Best regards and thank you for your excellent support, I aprreciate this.

    You don't need to worry about duplicate_ID errors.

    As for 3.1, if the setup program is not starting, I suspect its a corrupt download or your AV software is intercepting it.
