MCP-Pro Display shows all dashes

Recently I had to disconnect all my PC's and remove them because I was replacing all the flooring in the room I house them.

When I connected everything back together, the MCP-Pro stopped working. What happens now is that when I launch P3D V3, and the GoFlight Interface with any of the PMDG aircraft (737, 777, 747), the MCP-Pro displays all dashes. Any idea what is going on?

  • Hi Bill,

Check the MCP PRO is enabled in GIT. Make sure you are running the correct version of GIT for your flight sim version.

If the problem persists, please post the log.

    Thx

  • Steve,

I am running the latest version of P3D V3 and the GIT version is 3.3.0.1

In the Status view both MCP-Pro and EFIS both show a numeral 1 next to each, so I assume that means they are both enabled?

By the way, where do I find the Log file? I can see it in the GIT window dialog box but cannot copy it?

  • Hi Bill,

No the number doesn't mean its enabled. You need to check on each device tab, select the device no and then the state will be shown.

You can add /log into the desktop shortcut icon at the end of Target field (leave a space between). This will produce a log file.

  • Steve,

When I try to access MCPPRO, this tab and all the others are grayed out.

The only tabs accessible are STATUS, LOG and SETTINGS tabs?

  • Ok, its sounds like the GoFlight Interface Module.dll is not running. Check the xml.dll file and make sure the entry is there and correct and enabled. The installation/setup program should do all this for you!

If everything looks OK, check the FAQ entry "FSX/P3D/FSX SE Crashes on start up indicating an error with the Goflight Interface Module" here: https://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/user-guide/user-guide-git/16-installation/70-faq-goflight-interface-tool.html

Finally try with a default baron and see if the tabs enable.

  • Steve,

The XML.DLL file entry looks fine.
The GF Interface Module.dll is loading and appears to be running.
I am able to access the tabs when I load the default Baron.

However, when I launch the P3D V3 and the PMDG 747, the GF Interface tabs and other clickable buttons are completely inaccessable and the only way I can shut down is to use Task Manager.

  • Are you running the latest GoFlight Drivers? Get them from their website and install into the same directory as GIT.
  • Steve,

Yes, I have the latest 2.28.0

    Bill
  • Uninstall and reinstall the 747 using the latest installer.

    Best wishes
