P3D - No lights on any panels

Hiya Steve

Sorry to be a pest mate....
Today I installed P3D, and its simconnect from its SDK, and using a "migration tool" installed my NGX without any problems at all, and it seems all controls are working perfectly, but none of the lights on any of my GoFlight kit are now working...

Switch lights, MCP lights and numbers, LGT lights, WP6 lights, T8 lights, all dead...
Radio panels seems to work, but the rest of it doesnt light up...

When I fire up the PMDG interface on my second PC where all the GF kit is plugged into, I get a noticve saying that the P3D file has been updated, and if any PMDG aircraft are loaded, they should be re-loaded, so I do that, and still nothing.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong here mate?
Any settings I'm missing at all?

It shows simconnect working, 3 green lights in the status, picks up the NGX 700 no probs, its just the lights..
If I flip the A/T on/then off, the red flashing light comes on in the cockpit, but not on the WP6 panel (It does in FSX)

Any advice you could provide would be greatly appreciated mate..

P3D is Soooooooo much better than FSX, its bonkers... I get the feeling I may ditch FSX completely if further testing goes well..
Installed the NGX and FSUIPC and UK2000 Stanstead all with no problem.. Just the lights on my kit..

Hopefully you can help..... Thanks again bud :-)

    Hi,

I know it works with prepar3d on the same machine. I think you must be the first to try it networked. I have just tried doing it via a Virtual Machine (as my laptop needs a rebuild) but it keeps crashing.

Assuming you have done all of the following (using the relevant Lockheed Martin directories):

    http://support.hifitechinc.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/6/3/networked-configuration-with-simconnect

If not, you'll have to give me some time to get my networked setup back up and running. Should be within a day or two.

    Best wishes

    Steve

    Hi,

Uninstall the Prepar3d Simconnect Client and then the SDK from your second machine. Then install the FSX SDK for Acceleration or SP2 on it. Install the Simconnect Client and then it should work fine.

    Best wishes

    Hi Steve

Dont worry, I got it all working perfectly, tested it out today, and its all 100% seemingly perfect.
The trick seems to be, run it in FSX mode, but make sure the Migration tool" is enabled on P3D, thus tricking the PMDG interface into thinking its connecting to FSX.

    Works beautifully.

I have the P3D SDK installed just fine, and once I ironed out a few hiccups with it, AS2012 could then connect correctly, natively in P3D mode over simconnect, and so could the PMDG interface, which it couldnt before, so I know the networking side of things are working pervectly.

I currently now have 4 simconnect clients ont he second PC.. 3 from the FSX SDK's and now the P3D Simconnect. I dont have the P3D SDK on the second machine, thats installed on the main sim rig..

I wonder if this is easier to explain and demonstate using something like Apple Facetime?

Essentially, yes, my network is setup as per AS2012's instructions, with the entire C drive shared out, as per-frooglesims instructions. Its much easier to share out the entire C drive, and secure as I use Avast Pro on all network machines.

The only controls I have plugged into the main sim PC are the GF yoke and saitek pedals.
