Lights don't work,

Hi Steve,

Since installing 2.0.1049, I'm getting mixed result with the NGX.  Very often, none of my modules  lights comes on.  The interface shows 3 green lights.  If I click restart, the lights will come on momentarliy but then turn off.  The buttons and switches still work though.  In the logs I see a simconnect error,  Nothing really changed in my setup. Quitting FSX and restarting does not fix the issue.  I got it to work a few times but that's it.

I changed the extension to .txt and it seems to have worked. I guess you just need to rename it.  here it is.

    Hi,

Just tested your files and it all works OK for me. There is clearly a problem though because of all the ERROR's you are seeing.

Can you try reinstalling the software and ensuring Windows update is fully complete. Make sure FSX is not running when you reinstall the interface.

Also, are you using Windows 8?

Can you also try using an older version and see if the errors stop.

Let me know how you get on.

    Best wishes

    Steve

Will do. Already tried the reinstall but will give another try. I seem to have deleted past versions. Is there a way to download the previous one?

    Tx

Redownload 1049 before reinstalling in case its a corrupt download.

    The other versions available:

Hi Steve,  So I reinstalled 2.0.1049 and have the same issue.  Uninstalled 2.0.1049 and installed 2.0.1013 and same thing.  I tested my instruments with my lancair Legacy with only the goflight driver loaded and all displays work as expected (displays and controls.  Soon as I start GIT, displays go dark but the controls still work.  Weird.  The only one working (almost everytime) is my GF166.  T8, P8 and MCP are dark...

Not sure what to do at this point.  Maybe a W7 issue?

So, I installed the PMDG interface and now my displays are repsonding except the GF46.  The GF46 never really worked for me though.  Most of time it's dark. (very badly spent money!!).

I should probably mentionned that before that I also tried the GIT 2.0.1111 which did not work either.

I still see all these simconnect errors in the log though.

Not sure what is going on...

    Cheers!

    Hi,

Can you check in GIT that the devices are enabled and the brightness is set to 10. Also make sure that GFConfig has a profile loaded that does not have anything set for the devices and the MCP PRO and EFIS is set to compatible add-on.

Can you also list all your GoFlight gear including quantities.

    Thx

    Steve

Tx Steve.  I will check the brightness settings.  The GFconfig is indeed set to compatible add-on.  Nothing is assigned in there.  Did a full flight last night with the PMDG interface and all went well.  I will reinstall GIT and let you know.  Might be a few days before I can try it though.

In the meantime, here's my list of GF devices:

    1 x EFIS
    1 x MCP Pro
T8-1 and T8-2 (one of each)
    1 x P8
    1 x GF166
1 x GF-46 (which mostly never works.  Does work when set through GFconfig and no GIT running...).

Cheers and tx for your support!
