How to make GF EFIS & MCP-Pro work with iFly 737?
Hi
Both these modules have a factory setting for use with iFly and,
for ease, I would like to use this but I cannot get them to work at
all? The EFIS does nothing and the MCP-Pro shows all its LED's alight
but no digital displays and no control via the knobs. Is it critical at
what stage you load the GF Config program?
Does anyone know a fix for this?
Best regards
Adie
System Specs:-
Chillblast Thunderbolt 2 computer

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 3GB Graphics Card
120 GB Samsung SSD
2TB 7200 rpm hard disk - 6Gb/sec
GoFlight EFIS and MCP Pro
VR Insight CDU and Instrument Radio Stack
Saitek Cessna Yoke and 2 Throttle Quadrants
CH Pro Pedals
Running 6 screens - 3 via a Matrox panoramic system

Thanks for the help. I have now got it working by just changing the hardware configuration of my system.
There is an issue that may affect other users of GF hardware. GF say that their systems must be used on USB2 ports and will not work on USB3. Now here's the problem - new systems often don't have USB2 ports any more. My system is fairly new and has 14 USB ports. The only USB2 ports are the two low-powered ones on the front of the case that are designed to be used with keyboards and mice - i.e. things that do not require much power. Certainly not lots of LED's and digital displays.
I spoke to the computer builder and they suggested that I use the two diagnostic USB ports off the motherboard that are USB3 but are linked directly to the Intel bus. I have been using these and the GF systems have been working OK, but not brilliantly, apart from the iFly 737 where they would not work at all.
So, I put a powered hub onto a low-power USB2 port on the front of the computer and ran the GF modules from this. Bingo! the GF modules picked up the IFly aircraft. I only got this working late last night so time will tell if it is a permanent fix and I am just about to update my iFly aircraft with the latest Service Pack.
I will update progress with this as I go along but GF and their users need to be aware that newer computers are going across to USB3 ports! Presumably the same hardware/USB port restriction will apply even when you use the GIT Tool.
Hope this helps everyone.

You're welcome. Hope it helps others too.
If I have any more to offer on this issue shall I continue in this thread as I notice that it is flagged up as "answered"? I can start another topic title in Technical Support if that is better protocol.
By the way, any more thoughts on training?
Best regards
Adie
