MCP Pro stopped working mid flight.

Hi Steve,
All going too well!
All working fine, then mid flight, the MCP Pro turned itself off, I tried to get it going again and although I had some responses from switches, they were intermittent and clearly not functioning correctly. End of flight! Please see logs attached. The only change I made prior to the flight was to run an APM Fix (to sort out Saitek radios not coming alive (see: http://www.codelegend.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=575).
Best wishes,
Kevin.

  • Error logs are showing no problems. Did you click the restart button in GIT? Is the MCP PRO set to a state of ENABLED and not AV_ENABLED?

If yes to both of the above, try flying again to confirm it wasn't a one off issue.

    Thx
    Steve
  • Will do.
    Cheers

  • Hi Steve,
Seems to be fine - I'll let you know if it changes. MCP PRO was set to a state of AV_ENABLED. I'm assuming that the utility I ran to try and fix SPADNext (AGAIN!!!!!), probably altered the state.
    Thanks
    Kevin.
  • The reason I asked about AV_ENABLED is that GIT expects a variable to be monitored to determine if AV power is available with that setting and if not would turn off the MCP. If you have not set the variable, this good explain the glitch.

    Best wishes
    Steve
