Dead MCP Pro and EFIS

Hi Steve,
Arghhhh!! No idea what happened this time! :-)
Sequence: Installed GF Config and set MCP Pro and EFIS to 'Compatible Add-on'. Installed GIT and set as 'Run As Administrator'. Fired up P3Dv4, GF Config auto loaded as normal, showing dashes on MCP. Loaded GIT and as before, changed device field to '0' and enabled devices (not AV Enabled), restarted the GIT, nothing happened. Since, I have restarted the sim start-up procedure, loading the PMDG737 each time and waiting for initialisation to complete prior to starting GIT and each time, same result, with device setting defaulting back to 'DISABLED'. I'm only see dashes. I've attached an error log.
Cheers,
Kevin.

Check the FAQ entry for "My MCP PRO or MCP Advanced is not updating its display (just showing zeroes)" here: https://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/support/user-guide/user-guide-git/41-faq/70-faq.html

If that doesn't work, try the 64bit version of GIT as I think something broke in P3D Simconnect 4.1 with a 32bit client such as GIT.

    Best wishes
    Steve

PS: Its not DISABLED. Once you select the device it will show ENABLED.
  • Thanks Steve. I'll do so later and let you know. I already installed the 64Bit version btw.
    Cheers,
    Kevin.
  • Hi Steve,

No joy! Units in USB2 sockets (checked using USBview from Windows SDK). I've no idea where to find the GoFlight drivers directory as suggested in the post you recommended. I search my whole PC and could not find such a folder. I tried with and without USB enhanced power, no difference. I only have dashes.
As earlier, each time I open GIT, both the MCP and EFIS are disabled. Enabling and restarting has no effect other than the dashes disappear to leave a totally dead MCP.
What is so weird, is that due to numerous issues with SPADnext since last October (which is now working fine!), I've done numerous reinstalls (as you might recall), of the whole system, including WIndows 10 on a dedicated PC and each time GoFlight/GIT worked like a dream. All of a sudden, GIT has decided not to play ball. I'm at a loss to understand why. My reinstall process has not changed.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both GF config and GIT three times today.
Any ideas? I attached a further log although I cannot see anything amiss, you might.

    Best wishes,
    Kevin.
  • Do the MCP PRO switches and rotaries work? Its just the displays that are not working?
  • Nothing working Steve.
  • OK, lets test Simconnect is working OK. Can you use the default beech baron and get it to VC. Click on the FS Default button on the MCP PRO tab and then enable the MCP PRO device 0. Turn the heading rotatory and see if the display updates.

    Thx
  • Hi Steve, funny enough, I had thought of that meanwhile. Reinstalled SimConnect, now working!
Thanks again for your help, as always, appreciated!
    Best wishes,
    kevin.
