Interface freeze

Hi I had it working great a couple of weeks ago but iv changed my flight sim to my D drive along with all my flight sim stuff now when i click on the inter face it appears greyed out so i cant use any controls on the GIT. When i click on it it just goes into freeze mode and i have to go to the Task Manager to get it off the screen. Its a shame as i had all my controls programed in to it. Iv probably lost all that info now i suppose , can anyone give me a little guidance on how to get it to work again, i use it with a PMDG 777/300er
Thank you

  • Have you reinstalled GIT so the drive paths get updated for the dll etc?
  • not sure how to do that
  • Just Uninstall and reinstall GIT as usual and it should do everything required.

    Best wishes
    Steve
  • Hi Steve iv done that and again the same result I cannot access the controls all I can get is the status settings and log button. when in settings its all greyed out so I cant use anything
  • What colour are the LED's on the status tab?
  • Have you installed the GoFlight drivers into the same directory as GIT?
  • No iv just checked GIT is in its own directoy
  • Well GIT needs access to GFDev.dll to work. Either install the goflight drivers into the GIT directory or copy the dll file from your goflight drivers directory into the GIT directory.
  • I have all the Go flight drivers and the GIT in the same folder with no improvement on the panel there is now 2 grey and the right on is red
  • iv reinstalled all drivers and Git with no success im absolutely goosed with it I don't have a clue as to what has happened its as if I have the demo model nothing works with one red light on. I had it working perfectly before I decided to take advice and changed drives for FSX and all its add on programs looks like I should have left things as they were everything on the C drive.
  • Does the GIT directory contain GFDev.dll?
  • it contains GFDev.dll not with a question mark or is that your question mark
  • So is the first LED now green or are they all still red?
  • Git is in the goflight directory on the C drive while FSX is on my D drive with all its addons, one thing Steve is that once I click on GIT and it appears on screen the inly way I can get it off is through Task Manager
  • So is the first LED now green or are they all still red?
  • from the left grey grey and red

It looks like a simconnect problem now. Did you reinstall FSX and all the add-ons or just moved everything from C: to D ?
  • a complete reinstall
  • Since the reinstall when starting FSX has it prompted you to run the GoFlight Interface Module.dll at least once?
  • I don't think so
  • just fired up FSX and it asked me to accept GFDev.exe
  • got a green light in the middle the other two are grey
  • sorry to take so much of your time

Can you attach your dll.xml file here. You can find it in: C:\Users\your username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX. Note that AppData is a hidden directory.
  • hope that's it
  • Thx. Is GIT installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\GoFlight
  • I cant see it
  • but I cant see that exact file dll.xml
