  • Try the following:

    1) Rename Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool so GIT starts with no config.
    2) Uninstall/Reinstall GIT
    3) Uninstall/Reinstall the PMDG aircraft

  • From your earlier email you said this occurred after Windows Update, so I suspect you had some corrupt NTFS tables and the update has corrupted your P3D installation.

You could try rolling back the Windows Update and if that doesn't help, its a reinstall of P3D.

  • sorry to bother you again i uninstalled and reinstalled p3d academic client but the problem still continues... should i uninstall p3d completly?
  • Its difficult to say, because I have never seen this error before and this has only happened after Windows Update. I know the Windows Update itself is OK, because it installed on my PC and GIT is working OK. I can only conclude some sort of corruption which I would have thought installing the client would have resolved. A full reinstall may solve the problem.

  • GIT receives the aircraft name from Simconnect, so if they are all wrong, this implies an issue with Simconnect or somehow all your aircraft configs have become corrupt.
  • what shoul i do uninstall an reisntall simconnect all over or i have the backup of the aircrafts cgf file?
  • Your could try reinstalling Simconnect - it can't make matters any worse. I would also check one of the aircraft cfg files and make sure the aircraft name is correct.

Do you have any other software that can display the aircraft name via Simconnect?
  • i use fsuipc and linda but both of them works fine.. when i chnge the aircraft from f 22 to pmdg when my sim is running for 2 seconds the pmdg profile is recognized but then it dissapear and becom "ed martin"
  • Perhaps its a security issue then following the Windows Update. Install GIT and the GoFlight drivers into c:\goflight to avoid any issues with it running in c:\program files (x86). Rename the "Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool" folder to "Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool Old" so GIT runs with a clean config and then run GIT and P3D as administrator.
  • i did you suggestion it is install in my D drive right now. but i can install in on c:\prgram files again. can it be a windows c++ issue?
  • The drive doesn't matter, its the directory that should not be program files x(86)\GoFlight.

It won't be a c++ issue, but it could be a problem with .NET framework. It may be worth uninstalling .NET framework and then reinstalling. You will need to do this via Control Panel, Programs and Features and then Turn Windows features on or off.
  • i just uninstalled net framework and reistalled it but still no luck...
  • I would roll back the Windows Update. See "Uninstall Major Build Updates" in this article https://www.howtogeek.com/235474/how-to-roll-back-builds-and-uninstall-updates-on-windows-10/

In a few weeks time, the update should have been rolled out to all customers. I can then determine if the update is causing a problem with GIT or its specific to your setup.
  • ok thank you i am waiting to hear from you...
  • Still same problem cant use any of my goflight device please help... its been nearly 2 weeks

  • Well I asked for feedback about the Windows Update and everyone said GIT worked fine afterwards. See https://www.pollypotsoftware.org.uk/vanillaforums/discussion/908/please-report-status-of-git-running-with-feature-update-to-windows-10-version-1803#latest

We have tried all the obvious things. I can only think that something has got horribly corrupt in your system, but tracking that down is next to impossible. I can only recommend a system rebuild at this point.

    Best wishes

  • I contacted pete from fsuipc and showed him my log and this is the response that he gave me.
"That isn't an FSUIPC log, but one produced to allow GoFlight support (or those who made the software you are using) to help. Possibly it is checking for a different version of FSUIPC, or is trying to connect before FSUIPC's interface is established."
  • Its got nothing to do with FSUIPC, the error is totally unrelated to your problem!!!! Please do not bother Pete with this.

Something in Windows or P3D got corrupted during your Windows Update so DOUBLE CHECK YOU HAVE ACTUALLY DONE:

    1) Rename Documents\GoFlight Interface Tool so GIT starts with no config.
    2) Uninstall/Reinstall GIT
    3) Uninstall/Reinstall the PMDG aircraft

If the above does not work, we have tried all the obvious stuff with no success. I can only suggest a rollback of your Windows update. If that doesn't work or you cannot do it, uninstall and reinstall P3D and associated software and if that doesn't work its time to reset Windows 10 and start reinstalling your software.

    Best wishes

This thread may help you. Although its about problems with FSE SE after the recent Windows Update, there is some good advice:

  • after more investigation on my fsuipc log i found this and didint understand what it means 8125 *** LUA Error: D:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\Modules\gitlua.lua:5: module 'socket' not found:

  • Looks like parts of FSUIPC are missing. You will need to raise that issue with Pete Dowson.

  • i contacted fsuipc and got this answer....
"You are using some package with plug-ins for FSUIPC which is evidently dependent upon the socket package, including "socket.dll " or "socket.lua". Unlike FSUIPC4, the 64-bit version of FSUIPC doesn't include any Socket facilities because there's no 64-bit builds available which are compatible with the rest of the built-in Lua facilities. Folks who need Lua sockets find and install the 64-bit package for this themselves. Have a search for solutions in the forum or elsewhere.

What I don't understand is why on Earth the GoFlight interface tool is trying to use any Lua plug-ins in the first place! And especially not sockets, which are generally used for communicating with the Internet or with other PCs on your local network.

You do really need to seek Goflight suppot on this.

    Pete"

  • I'd forgotten the 64Bit version of GIT does not support FSUIPC Lua! You can just ignore it then. Its only used for the Lua bespoke events that got executed via FSUIPC. Lua is now built in to GIT so the FSUIPC Lua stuff can be safely ignored.

The PMDG aircraft does not use Lua at all.

    Best wishes
