Is it necessary to have GIT running before starting X-Plane 11?

My GF-P8 is not seen by X-Plane 11 unless GIT is running with three green lights and the GF-P8 is Enabled in GIT. Why doesn't the plug-in work without GIT running as well.

Comments

  • GIT consists of the main app and the plugin. Both need to be running. You can minimise the GIT app to the notification bar.

  • Thanks.
  • ??? Hmmm?? Don't understand the question or the answer. :/
I have GIT and start it after Xplane 11. Is that incorrect? Everything seems to be working. What is the plugin?
  • Any order works. The plugin is a dll file that runs within X-Plane. GIT wouldn't work at all if you did not have the plugin running.
